Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.50%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

poured a beautiful golden straw with a mt Fuji-style head that overfloweth my glass...a subtle sweetness in the nose, so faint through the fluffy head! it's floral and fruity, with a grapey side and superb carbonation and it's just perfect.

L - Golden with a rocky, three finger head replenished by ample carbonation leaving plenty of lacing
S - Earthy sweetness with a faint hop note as it warms
T - Straight forward malt followed by bitterness followed by some spiciness at the end but light on the esters
F - Substantial feeling with the carbonation expanding and smoothing it out
O - Personalized interpretation that works but trying too hard to be different

hazy gold color with huge head that really stayed around for about half of the beer. Light in color, but not at all transparent very thick looking. lots of fruit, a real mix that is hard to pull apart. apricot comes to mind, maybe grapefruit or something with a lot of citrus. really huge smell, fantastic. One of the best smelling beers I've ever had. lots of fruit in the taste as well. Also pretty hoppy and a little bit spicy. Very earthy but with a lot of citrus on top of it; kindof earthy and flowery... Quite boozy and you can taste it (not in a bad way). Pretty unique in taste i think. really complex. really enjoyable! medium bodied with a moderately slow finish, very drinkable. I am a huge fan of Boulevard and this beer is one of my favorites from them. perfectly blends complexity and easy drinking. high marks!

Cloudy apricot color and dense white head. Smell is sour, blending scents of popcorn and citrus. A bit of a white wine flavor with green grape hints, followed by a nice biscuit finish in the malts. Overall, it's a very nice, tart ale.

Poured 12oz bottle into tulip. Boulevard has returned to WI! Cloudy marigold with a 2.5 finger white head. Retention is for the entire session and it keeps a frothy cap with tons of lacing. Bubbles stream upwards from glass bottom. Nice floral banana scent, with some Belgian yeast. Light honey sweetness emerges as it warms. Light peppery spice. Tasty banana, grapefruit zest, and floral hops with Belgian yeast, Hints of sweet honey and it has a nice fruity, yeasty, spicy combination going on. Light bodied, with excellent carbonation and creamy feel. Slightly dry on the finish. After years of waiting to try this, I can see why it is raved about.

A good amount of fragrance but not overpowering. My favorite farmhouse right now.

Pours a deep copper with orange hues. Great head leaves solid lacing.

Taste is pleasantly not over powering. It's balanced, not overly hopped or yeasty or malty. Alcohol is not really noticeable. It's cheerfully carbonated.

Very very good.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a teku glass. Cloudy orange color with 2 plus fingers of creamy white head.
Smells like flowery fruit hops.
Tastes sweet and fruity with low bitterness and some pepper
Smooth mouthfeel with medium carbonation with a dry finish.
Overall a very enjoyable farmhouse ale that drinks smoother than it's 8.5%. Perfect for outside on a beautiful day.
