Notes / Commercial Description:
With roots in two of today's most popular brewing styles, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer is the result of careful cultivation by our brewers and cellarmen. Their efforts to craft a hybrid yielded a bumper crop of flavor; a delightfully distinctive ale with the aroma of an IPA and the refreshing taste of a wheat beer.

Pours hazy golden yellow in color with a fluffy white head. Smell is slightly hoppy, very mild actually. The flavor is about what you would expect. A pinch of citrus, and enough hops to take over most of the flavor, but not enough to make you feel like you're drinking an ipa.

It's a refreshing, decent tasting beer. No bells or whistles, and no real complaints either.

Hazey gold color with white head. Nose of wheat citrus and a bit malty. Taste is like a tame wheat beer with a little hops and lemon. Clean finish. Not a big fan of this. I like the attempt to make a hybrid but to me it tastes like a weak wheat beer that lost its hops.

Poured a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. Hazy golden yellow, thin head nd lots of fine lacing. Bread dough and moderate pine notes. Clean citrus taste. Just a hint of hops at the finish. I get hops in the nose and taste, but this is still a wheat beer and has a crisp clean taste that you would expect.
Boulevard delivered exactly what they advertised!

Poured from the tap at the Carolina Ale House into a pint glass. The appearance is a cloudy light amber color with a large white head. The aroma is citrus and hops. The taste matches the aroma.
