Produced a 3 finger white head. Beer is a hazy honey color.

Aroma is of mostly piney, and slightly citrus hops.

Taste Is similar but with a slight honey sweetness to it, and biscuit taste. Very hop forward, and the bitterness lingers. Medium mouth-feel, and carbonation.

Good beer, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Poured into SA glass and a boisterous whte head made it somewhat of a challenge to do so. More yellowish in the body and somewhat cloudy. Almost looks more like a wheat beer. Sure doesn't smell or taste like one though. A very smooth drinking IPA, except for the agrressive finish which hits the bitterness quite hard. Doesn't linger as much as would be expected for this, but it is hard nonetheless. Soft and sweet aroma with a nice hop presence. Not too strong, but pleasant nonetheless. There is a nice sweetness in the drink. Seems like a nice blending of malt and hops. Soft feel and smooth yet stingy carbonation. Nice citrus flavors.

pours out a cloudy gold colour with an ivory head, slight in nature. some retention and some really nice lace. hop forward aroma with a biscuity malt base. lots of citric pithiness and with an equal dose of pine resin. the nose is all hops all the time. the taste profile is massive blast of bitter hops, and while i don't know if this is really over 100 IBU's, it's gotta be close because it a tongue bruiser. i like the fact that there is a solid pale malt base for the hop profile to dance upon, which gives it a sense of balance. this has all the bases covered for the hop head, although it does lean more heavily on the pine, resin, herbal, and peppery spice. it's on the dry side with a long, lingering, sturdy bitter finish. this is lighter bodied for an IPA, which i like here, complimented by a pretty coarse and tongue numbing mouthfeel. this is a drinkable, mouth puckering, quenching and bitter IPA. really nice.

overall the best thing about this may be the relative low ABV for an IPA. one could say that this is an overly aggressively hopped pale ale. high IBU's for sure. this one is highly recommended , and i wish more brewers would consider brewing a high IBU, low ABV PA/IPA.

Boulevard kills it with Mid-Coast!!
