L: deep dark brown under a lacy 2" light tan cap with good retention

S: Mild roast, some light malts and a hint of chocolate join the coffee but there are no harsh or burnt roast aromas

T: The coffee is big enough so that you know it is there and but not big enough to over power the other elements of the beer

F: medium plus body and medium, very soft and creamy carbonation

O: You must drink this beer for its soft, creamy texture and balance of rich coffee and roast flavors.

Pored 16oz can into snifter. Dark coffee brown with a 2 finger mocha head. Nice malty aroma with hints of dark chocolate and plenty of roasted coffee. Flavor is cold brew coffee with chocolate accents and roasted malt. Smooth and creamy with fine carbonation. Coffee stout that is easy to drink and not overly bitter.

Inky black. Creamy dense brown head leaves webs of lace. Great aroma. Thick dark roasted coffee bean. Reminiscent of one of my favorite coffee beers that I haven't had in a while...Java Stout from Bell's. Flavor is reflective of aroma...bitter, roasted coffee. Some malt roastiness as well. A little caramel malt as well in the background. Velvet body with light carbonation. Everything is real good about this one.

16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a dark black body, fairly opaque with a thick two finger offwhite head, good retention, lots of lacing. Smell is milk chocolate, coffee and creamer. The coffee is more vegetal and roasty rather than acidic, which complements the stout base reasonably well- it's a straightforward cup of joe with creamer. Flavour follows; smooth milk chocolate, light metallic roast, touch vegetal, even a touch of spice, light grainy toast. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, a bit watery, good carbonation, slight vegetal finish. An interesting beer, the first I've had from this interestingly named brewery. The coffee is nice, but a bit muted and the beer is a bit watered down even for 5.6%. New Glarus' take on the coffee stout is probably a better example on the style. But, cans, though...
