I was very surprised to see this beer in cans at a Mexican Restaurant In Florida. This beer looks like your typical NEIPA with yellowIsh haze and a little bit of foam on top. Not much to smell but the can may have some age. Some fruitiness to smell but not that strong but I’ll assume a fresh can must smell pretty good. The taste starts out really good with some vanilla and almost no bitterness from the citra and mosaic. That is followed by sweetness from the lactose. Overpowering sweetness that doesn’t let the hops linger. If they cut the lactose down by half, this would be a great beer. Again, it my be the age of the can that had allowed the lactose to be overpowering. As it is, it’s still very good but can only be drunk slowly or the cloying sweetness starts bothering you. The mouthfeel is excellent because the beer feels soft/pillowy and the carbonation is subtle. Overall a very good beer that could be great.

Undated can; drank 8/9/19 @ the Yarchives.

Nice expression of the milkshake IPA, unfruited division; nice notes of vanilla & mild orange citrus. Good, soft mouthfeel as well.

I'd have another!

The branding here is so cynical I honestly kind of admire it.

Pours milkshakey: thick yellow dyed white-ish with hop resin.

Smells very citra-forward but some mango nodes shining through from the mosaic. Fairly straightforward for the style, but nicely done.

Tastes like it smells: high-acid, fruit-forward hops. Citra starts things out, smoother mango nodes in the middle and finish, and a decent bit of bitterness at the back end to balance things out.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on December 13, 2018. New England style milkshake IPA brewed with lactose. Hopped with Citra and Mosaic.

Thank you Vidblain for this
16 oz can poured into a teku

A- A hazy golden straw with a three finger white head

S- Tropical fruits, citrus, some pine, a little dank, nice touch of lactose

T- Tropical, melons, citrus, some lactose, hint of dank hops, nice balance

M- Smooth, creamy, medium body

O- Really nice, good balance. Lactose isn’t over done, hops are right, would love to see what fruit and vanilla would add to this

Opaque pale yellow to dark straw appearance. Leaves a decent amount of lacing. Yogurt-like nose with plenty of tropical fruit undertones. Creamy tropical fruit palate with sweet vanilla popping up on the finish. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel is the highlight of this beer. A well crafted NE style IPA.

Pours an opaque hazy pineapple juice color. Thick white head falls back quickly leaving a fair amount of lacing. Aroma is a mild blend of citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor follows the nose with a hint of vanilla, little to no bitterness in the end. Feel is super creamy and rich. Overall a delightful NEIPA.

L: hazy to murky gold blanketed by 3" of persistent, white lacy foam

S: citrus, biscuit, some melon, tropical fruit, lactose and vanilla with a faint hint of movie popcorn butter

T: Lightly sweetened creamy citrus and tropical fruit seasoned by vanilla lead the flavors finishing with a balancing mild hop bitterness

F: Juicy and medium plus with medium carbonation

O: A full flavored, well balanced beer.

This beer has made me rethink everything I've thought I've know about beer. It's outstanding. It tastes like a creamy orange julius, but it's a BEER! My mind is blown.

Overall an amazing beer. The look is a cloudy orange. You put your nose up to the glass and are greeted by a sweet citrus fragrance. I could just sit and smell this beer. The taste is a soft more smooth orange, like an orange dreamcicle. This is perhaps one of my favorites. Try it and enjoy!

This one pours a very hazy and glowing orange, with a fluffy whipped looking head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like mango, orange creamsicle, vanilla, and light pine.

This is super creamy and decadent, with a great hoppy orange creamsicle thing going on, with very light bitterness. The lactose kind of creates a nice creamy vanilla flavor.

This has a really thick and luscious mouthfeel- it's really drinkable, with a normal level of carbonation.

I really enjoyed this one- I'd definitely like to try more of this brewery.

Super hazy/cloudy pale gold. White head with lace.

Lots of lactose and vanilla creaminess to go along with the juice. Orange mango pineapple smoothie. Wow, this is a really solid offering. Soft feel. No bitterness. Well done.

Poured from a 16oz can into a snifter.
1) The look is that of a murky unfiltered apple cider with a minimal head.
2) Smell is very fruity and citrusy, specifically mango and the vanilla/lactose add a subtle ice cream note as well. I would describe it as a beer dreamsicle.
3) Tastes like it smells, but even better. Very juicy and hoppy, not too sweet like I anticipated. You can taste no alcohol, this truly is a beer milkshake!
4) Mouthfeel is very viscous for an ipa. It Reminds me of a high gravity stout such as BC.
5) Overall this is a very unique and enjoyable IPA. One should experience at least one if given the opportunity!

Poured from 16oz can into glass. No canning date information found on can.
Murky, orange juice colored body. Creamy, frothy, bubbly head settles to cap. Rings and large spots of lacing.
Grapefruit, mango, orange fill out the aroma. The sweet lactose, with vanilla is there.
Taste is a lactose influenced mélange of tropical and citrus fruits. Takes a bit to absorb the full essence of a fruit beer with the milk shake attributes. Right on the edge between sweet, which then evolves into a slightly cloying taste (that still expresses very sweet). Vanilla adds a complexity that affects both the fruit and the sweet lactose.
Thick and full mouth feel.
A truly self evident milk shake IPA beer. Audacious beer making that must be experienced fresh. There is no way this will age well.

Was excited to try this one but also nervous that the addition of vanilla would overpower the beer. It's just my personal taste but I only like vanilla in beer if it is subtle. Too much and it tastes artificial to me. This beer nailed it. The vanilla did not overshadow the hops as the beer still had a fair amount of juiciness and bitterness. The vanilla hit on the backend. To me this tasted like a hop dreamsicle.

It poured a very hazy peach color with a creamy frothy head that just sits - looks like a nitro beer. Lacings all around the glass. At first smell, I swear I picked up aromas of vanilla milkshake. The lactose is really heavy at the nose. Some hops - very fruity with passionfruit notes. I am immediately wowed by the flavors - almost hard to describe actually. The hops come in with notes of pine and tropical fruits but its not overly aggressive. The lactose adds a huge layer of sweetness, contributing strong notes of vanilla ice cream. Its kind of a mesh of two different things in one beer. The mouthfeel was very smooth and creamy - heavy in the mouth. Overall: this is an outstanding beer. A beer style that was once an oddball but is becoming the norm at many breweries. The Brewing Projekt aces it.

16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a creamy golden yellow body, slight orange hue, two finger thick white head, good retention, lots of lacing, Smell is vanilla, lactose, grapefruit and citrus, touch of tropical fruit, minimal grainy malt sweetness. The lactose makes this turn out to be like an orange milkshake. Flavour follows, reasonably sweet but not overly so; good balance with a citrus and orange zest, good milk and lactose sweetness, mild zesty bitterness on the backend. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, good carbonation, minimal zesty bitterness on the backend. Pretty much a milkshake IPA; enjoyed this one and this is akin to the Untitled Art strawberry milkshake IPA released not that long ago.
