Canned in a crafty craft can , an oatmeal pale and bought from bargain booze
pours a very slightly hazy wheat coloured body with good white head
aroma is porridge made with grapefruit juice
that aroma somehow works as a flavour it grabs yer by the bow locks though
so solid bodied

A 330ml can with a BB of Jan 2018, so it's just out of date. Purchased the other day from Costcutter. The label calls it an oatmeal pale ale and features a horse with an AK47 (as you do).

A: Poured into a tulip. A bright golden hue with faint haze and intense carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam with good retention; this slowly reduces to a persistent surface layer. Some lacing.

S: Aroma of overwhelmingly fruity hops with hints of citrus zest, peel, tropical fruit, white grape, mild grass, ale yeast, grainy malt and faint earthiness. Sublime.

T: Tastes of intensely fruity hops with notes of grapefruit, citrus zest, peel, tropical fruit, stone fruit, white grape, grass/hay, leafiness, ale yeast, pale malt and earthiness. Faint vegetal hints in the background. Very dry, followed by a powerful hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and lovely body. I guess the oats add some creaminess. Somewhat astringent; hop oils stimulate the palate. Aftertaste of bitter fruity hops, citrus, tropical fruit, hay, ale yeast and earthiness.

O: Amazing - a top notch pale ale with incredible hop presence. Looks fantastic, while the aroma and flavour are supremely hoppy. Citrus and tropical fruit galore. Great body; balanced and creamy with wonderful texture. Bitter but not overly so. The oats make the mouthfeel. Simply excellent - well worth sampling if you have the chance.

Tap @ The Three Tuns, Bristol - Pours hazy golden with a medium white foamy head. Nice lacing. Medium carbonation. Aroma - Citrus fruits at the front - grapefruit/lemon rind, only a whiff of oats. Taste - Sweetish tropical/citrus notes - grapefruit/lemon/mango, light malty cereal in the middle, light crisp bitter finish. Very refreshing citrus hoppy ale.

CAN
Webby snow over hazy champagne blonde. 4
Lots of lemon zest with some oily herb, soap + biscuit. 4
Crackey malts, a ton of musty grapefruit with hints of dank, melon and grass. 4
Long rindy bitter linger.
Halfway to medium, soft, round. 4

Not sure why to call this Oatmeal PA, when it's the aggro Citra (or even Sorachi) citrus character that's centre stage.
There is a nice soft body, though, which makes this more drinkable than it'd be if that hop character was in a thin beer.
Overall, another display of ABC skill. 4
