No dating. Corked and capped. Slow oozer.
Cloudy orange brew with oodles of foam, watch your bottle, and lots of lovely lacing.
Oak aromas with light Brett, lemon lime, some hops, very earthy in general.
Lemon lime tartness, woody and oaky, earthy...I don't know if it is fresh but I am digging the rather bold flavours.
Fairly light bodied with lively carbonation.
Quite nice.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down a bit, leaving a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of oak from the barrel aging are present in the nose. As the beer warms up, slight hints of funk become noticeable.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is very oaky and has notes of yeast and spicy hints of rye.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very drinkable and has an interesting mix of flavors between the oak, yeast, and rye.

Poured from 750 mL bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a clear golden yellow with highly active carbonation jets producing a 2-3 inch rocky white head that fairly quickly settles to a 1/2 inch head with good retention.
S: Funky melon and honey, white pepper, soft citrus, sour/tart note, hint of rye and oak.
T: Sour lemon, tart lime, funky peach, white pepper, honey, rye, and oak tannins. Nice layering and complexity.
M: Light body. Nice effervescence gives it an even lighter, ethereal, feel. Softly sour/tart and some fruit sweetness too...softened by oak aging. Lingered nicely on the palate.
D: Started strong and only got better the further I got into it. Nicely refreshing and complex...easier said than done! Love the construction of the brew and what the oak aging did to it and really enjoy the unique yeast and bacteria action.

750 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Had 8/31/18.
Pours a mostly clear bright yellow, with a two and a half inch thick foamy head with good retention and thick foamy lacing. Aromas of Belgian yeast, rye, white grapes, oak, light floral hops, a little black pepper. Smells lightly tart and sour. Tastes somewhat sour and tart up front. Flavors of Belgian yeast, white grapes, lemon, some rye, some oak, light malt. A decent amount of hop bitterness. Mostly smooth, a good light to medium body, well carbonated.
This is good, but there’s nothing to really point to, nothing unique or definitive about it. Has a very good aroma. Overall, there’s not much rye involved. This was a gift, so if it has a good price point, it’s worth a try.

This was an odd one in that it started the taste really earthy with the rye, barnyard funk, wood, and a little mushroom too, then it gets a pop of moderate oak sour, lemon, honey, and some floral hops. Overall surprisingly bitter, but not overly so. Thin in the body and bright.
