Dark brown color with tan head. Sweet cake like notes with almond on the aroma. Taste has chocolate with light coconut flavor and bitter coffee finish.

Oily burnt brown to black with a thin tan film that breaks apart quickly and leaves minimal thin arms on the glass.
Smell is nutty, roasty and a little astringent while taste brings tons of coconut. You'd think it'd be sweet but overall it remains bitter due to a substantial dark baker's cocoa flavor. There's a sort of metallic undercurrent that's a bit off-putting, and it at times is sharply cola-like with a nutty heat.
The medium-thin body is slick with a crackly carbonation and a dry finish.

Appearance: After the bubble show, that tan head settles in at tow fingers cowering over the espresso colored liquid below; good retention with spotty lacing
Smell: Dark chocolate, caramel and coconut
Taste: Dark chocolate and caramel with some roasted malt flavors that keep the sweetness in check; through the middle, the coconut "Mounds" flavors build and linger into the finish; in the aftertaste, there is a bit of bitterness
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: I hesitated to buy a can of this beer as I have been turned off lately but some overly sweet pastry stouts, so I tip my cap to the Aslin brewers for holding the sweetness to a moderate level here

From can obtained at Aslin the day before.
Dark brown with medium foam head upon pour. Aroma seems like a typical quality milk stout without much else but the taste is definitely where this beer starts to show its quality. Coconut and macaroon flavors really start to become pronounced, especially as the beer warms. Rich and sweet, this is a quality dessert stout that's still easy to drink at 10% abv.

Appearance - Pours black with dark, cola brown edging where light can penetrate, with a tan and thick, two-finger width head that fizzes away in fair time, leaving behind a
Smell - The aroma is a strong and enticing mix of fudgy chocolate and toasted coconut, with slight nuttiness and a hint of roast.
Taste - Follows the nose. Fudgy goodness highlights with a strong toasted coconut base. Hints of roasted malt ride beneath. Finish lingers with the aforementioned, along with a mild almond nuttiness and slight boozy heat.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with slightly bitey carbonation. Chewy texture that quickly turns dry and slightly sticky in the finish. Drinks well enough for a 10% though.
Overall - Quality dessert brew. In your face flavor. A bit chewy and sticky but it does suit the beer, so not a knock per se. Quite similar to a beer brewed locally; I wouldn't mind doing a side-by-side some day.

The beer pours a nice foamy and brown head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a delicious looking dark chocolate black with a nice lightly syrup texture that shows it has a body to it.
The smell is good. It has a good and strong resemblances to a Mounds bar. However, the dark chocolate seems to come out more than the coconut does with a slight caramel note that does not seem to come out in the taste.
The taste is absolutely fantastic. The taste definitely strongly resembles a more delicious Mounds bar with a sweet coconut note with a slight burnt note and sweet dark chocolate notes.
The feel is good. It has a interestingly middle body and a fantastic texture. It has a slightly sticky but mostly slick feel that goes down smoothly. The carbonation is tingling that keeps the beer from being syrupy. It's also surprisingly drinkable and hides the ABV very well.
Overall, this is a very good and delicious beer to get one's hands on. It's a good and delicious stout and creates a good experience.

Pours pitch black color with a 1 finger foamy brown head that faded slowly and left good spotty lacing. Smells of roasted malt, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, burnt coffee, toasted coconut, soy sauce, brown sugar and sweet syrupy notes. Really tasty with sweet coconut up front, followed by dark chocolate, burnt coffee, soy sauce, brown sugar, cocoa powder, Mounds candy, toffee, caramel, roasted grains, smoky notes and rich malts. This hides the ABV masterfully and goes down very smooth with a ton of complexities. A really impressive stout that doesn't cross the line into too sweet, it's really well done.
