A: Pours a murky bright mango yellow-ish orange in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of bright yellow + pale golden yellow + bright orange + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + tropical/papaya + citrus/orange hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + wheat + pale malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + wheat + pale malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + tropical/papaya + citrus/orange hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers slightly leaving light citrus flavors through the finish.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a slightly heavier than moderate amount of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasant mouthfeel (though not quite as creamy soft/fluffy as many of the other NEIPAs). Really enjoyable citrus + tropical hop presence.

A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is hazy pale-yellow with a wispy white head.
S: Nice nose of bitter tropical fruit - pineapple comes to mind - and apricot and grapefruit pith and peel.
T: Follows the nose, with juicy pineapple, orange-pineapple juice oranges and orange peel, grapefruit. Balanced between sweet and bitter. Real nice, with lingering lemony bitterness.
M: Juicy, nice and juicy; call it medium in heft.
O: Quite good.

Good NEIPA, but nothing much compared to better NE brews for smoothness or flavor. Bit underwhelmed based on reviews and my growing appreciation for Aslin as a brewer.
Nothing bad just nothing great. Wish I could have had a single instead of 4 pack.

Pours a hazy light straw hue with a generous head with white lacing. Tropical fruit, citrus and hops on the nose. Taste has a well balanced bitterness of grapefruit and citrus. The finish is delightfully hoppy and mildly sweet with no bitterness. Spectacular feel which goes down smoothly with medium carbonation. An excellent hand well crafted brew.

Can. I had the pleasure of having Double Orange Starfish a few weeks back. Phenomenal New England Imperial IPA. Let's see how the original fares. Pours hazy as sin! Probably just as hazy as Double Orange Starfish. I gave that an 8.5 on my patented Haze-o-meter™. This one is probably a bit lighter in actual color but just as hazy. Might even beat it out a bit! Aroma is great. Not surprised. A medley or wet, juicy citrus. Cuties™ clementines are something that jumps out to me. Definitely getting some pineapple as well. Also, it has some green in the nose. Maybe a bit of asparagus!? Flavor also pops. I appreciate how much hoppiness they packed into a relatively lean 5.7% beer. This is boasting a better aroma/flavor than most any beer in the in the 6.5-7.5% ABV range. The tropical fruits and light greener elements really leap onto the tongue. Has a bit of a sherbet flavor but the creaminess is not too excessive. Really drinkable. I think the way the flavor goes from hoppy to purely sugary/sweet is one of the only downfalls of the beer. Bitterness is quite low. Massaging bubbles. Really enjoyed this beer. 5.7% is a great ABV IMO. Another stud beer from Aslin. Might like the imperial version a bit more but this beer also claps it.
