16 oz can into a curved pint glass.

Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a finger of frothy white head. Solid retention. Leaves some nice cobweb lacing.

The aroma brings notes of peaches and mixed berries, as well as some grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, and herbal tea. A bit faint but very pleasant.

The flavor is very tropical, bringing notes of mango, melon, cantaloupe
and pineapple juice. There's a faint, tart berry flavor in the middle followed by some grapefruit and peach. Subtly vegetal with a hint of pine. Nicely balanced.

The feel is medium bodied with lower carbonation. Very soft with a dry finish. Alcohol is well-hidden.

Overall, this is a great NEIPA. It has a lot going on flavor wise without tasting muddled. Sweet, but fairly well-balanced.

Medium yellow-orange. It's mostly opaque, but there is some clarity up to about 1 inch. Reasonable amount of fine head that does hang around, although one could hope for a little more lacing.

Smell has a nice acidic grapefruit, not too sweet, either. There's some depth in that scent, too. Sharp pine resin and freshly cut grass. A little pickle juice astringency, but that's actually not detrimental for once. Boilerplate for the type, but again, it's got some depth.

Non-sweet pineapple and lactose in the taste. Definitely savory. Sweet and bitter greens. The depth and dynamism is still there from the nose, but there's an heavier bitterness that defeats a chunk of the sweetness. So, it's pretty good, but I get the sense that there's a lot of room in just the usual bad-to-good distribution (that everything has) that it could be even better than I'm getting.

Medium-heavy weight for the type. Carbonation is really well integrated, and alcohol is far in the background. Aftertaste I'd describe as some sort of gentle grassiness. Obviously very well crafted.

Hazy faded orange with two fingers of white foam. Aromas of peach, grapefruit, papaya, apricot, light passion fruit and lemon with piney hops create a welcoming nose. Taste adds soft honeydew and big mango, hops more bitter yet have a certain airiness on the finish. Elevated feel: juicy, full yet lighter bodied without losing consistency or hop finishing fervor. Another nice one from aslin

Ordered from Tavour, so it’s a bit past prime, but the first can I had was excellent. Very juicy and citrusy, but a slight maltiness and bitterness to help keep it from being a juice bomb. Medium bodied, mouth watering. Tasty, glad I got it.

Smell- Melon, mango, papaya, clementine, guava.

Taste- Papaya, guava, mango, clementine, tart, pithy finish.

Feel- Full body, nectar like, low bitterness, soft, astringent finish, below average carbonation.

Overall- Very enjoyable beer.

Hazy deep golden with a big offwhite head, this beer looks nice, let’s give er a try. Really potent tropical nose on this beer A+ nose here. Grapefruit, a bit catty but soft enough in a tasty way. Easy bitterness and slight heat on this beer. Really thick with less carbonation. Wow really excellent brew here.

Pours a hazy, light orange from the can, brief head, mild retention. Aromas are typical of the style - pineapple juice, tropical fruit, nectar - but there is a good amount of savory resins that linger and promise a balanced take. Taste follows - it's juicy for sure, but there is enough bitterness to make this an inviting drink and prevent it from becoming cloying. Mild grain on the finish help in that regard as well. Mouthfeel is full and soft, as would be expected. A strong, complex, and highly enjoyable take on the style.

Growler into pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold, with a substantial head. Great lacing. Initial impression is grapefruit, berries, some onion, and a bit of pine resin. Mouthfeel is clean; alcohol is quite well hidden. Finish is slightly dank with a touch of sweetness. Overall, a good but not great DIPA.

A - Hazy medium gold color with frothy white lacing.

S - Strong peppery tropical citrus aroma with some pineapple.

T - Spicy pineapple, citrus, and light vinous character.

M - Big medium body.

O - This is a wonderful D-IPA that's worth checking out. I'm continually impressed with Aslin's ability to brew flavorful IPA's, especially Double / Imperial IPA's.

Can to tulip glass.

LOOK: light and bright yellow, medium foamy off white head, excellent retention.
AROMA: very light and indistinct. Light notes of tropical fruit and hay.

TASTE: Some grapefruit mixed with melon and pine upfront. Touch of vegetable and some dry leaves. Hay and pine dominate in the finish.

FEEL: very good carbonation, light to medium body, . very drinkable.

Enjoying more as I drink, but not really picking up deeper notes, just getting used to it. Not one to search out for me, but well crafted.

Nope. It pours a little light for a hazy. Nose is completely absent. Taste is fine, nothing special. Citrus, mango, pineapple, and slight grapefruit. Overall not really impressed as the mouthfeel is really light. Better than average but not at the price point.

Golden orange haze in the glass with a decent white head. Aromas and flavors are a bit more muted than expected -- definitely offering some varied citrus, white grape, and pale malt character but not to the degree that their Starfish variants have. Nice fluffiness in the mouthfeel

Can. Have had the pleasure of enjoying a few Aslin beers now. I had Master of Oranges but not this one. I enjoy how their Starfish beers are a lot hazier/softer and the Karate beers are a bit clearer and more assertive. This brew pours about a 7.0 on the Hazeometer™. Hang on; now that I have poured the bottom of the can into the glass. This puppy gets murkier! Bump that up to a 7.7! Tall, white, pretty head. Karate belt rings of lace. This beer is definitely quite tropical-hopped. Solid aroma of peach, mango, apricot. Also greener characteristics include grass and green onion. Flavor is rich and efficient. It's like an enhanced version of the beers that dominated the early '10's. Not a creamsicle of squished fruit. Rather a strong helping of fruits, bitterness, and greens. Apricot and peach hops are probably the standout for me. There is also a bit of a traditional malt finish which ain't bad. More bitter and alcoholic than the Starfishes. Definitely a strong offering. Probably don't like it as much as the consensus but this is a really tasty beer. It's funny, the bottom contents of the beer really add to the tropical/hazy/creamy elements of the beer that I didn't find as much in the top half. I actually enjoy it more as it gets dirtier.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has some hints of orangish hues. It poured with a half finger high white head that consistently left a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of passion fruit and pine are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has additional hints of mango and peach.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the complexity of flavors in this NEIPA, which also did a good job at hiding nearly all traces of alcohol from the taste.

Pours cloudy bright yellow gold with a dense creamy white foam head. Smells like strong musty tropical yellow fruits, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, guava, lemony citrus, grapefruit peel, some light caramelized bready doughy malt, hint of woodsy funk, with dank resinous herbal earthy floral pine. Tastes like juicy tropical mango, pineapple, passionfruit, guava, lemony citrus, grapefruit, light caramelized bready malts, with fairly bitter dank resinous woodsy herbal earthy floral pine. Feels medium plus bodied, pretty soft with smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice Double IPA.

No canned on date. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Slightly hazy gold with 1-2 finger off-white frothy head with good retention and craggy small-bubbled lacing.

S: Candied pineapple and melon with lime and guava but a light onion-garlic note in the background.

T: Melon seems to be the dominant flavor note with lime and orange citrus but really none of the more tropical fruit flavors in the aroma. The negative aspects include a bit of onion-garlic in the aftertaste and unpleasant chlorophyll hop leafiness also in the finish. Low-medium bitterness with medium fruity yeast esters.

M: Reasonably light for an 8.4% beer with medium+ carbonation and medium body.

O: Really disappointing. This was one of their higher rated DIPAs and frankly was not even close to up to par to be mid-pack with the hop off-flavors in there.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Exceptionally clear bodied, with a perfect brass yellow hue and fine streams of carbonation. Fluffy topped and very fine big bubbled head. Bright white in color and easily reaching four fingers with control and excellent staying power. Fantastic looking IPA.

Hop aroma is more subtle than obvious. First note is a dank, then a touch of simple pine notes on the hop angle. Hits oily zest but not quite distinct enough on then nose to pinpoint. Solid but a bit too much of discovery to find something.

Palate opens up a very new world. Oily and rich mouthfeel, with hits of hop deliciousness. Oily resin and pine mixing in with citrus oils in the mix to create a good pleasurable sensation. Lots of oily slow burning flavors, lemon rind, marmalade and hot pine needles. Aftertaste continues with the same flavors, but also is even a little numbing. There's a hint of chewy malt in this for counter sweetness as well for balance.

Pretty unique tasting IPA, doesn’t quite get all the right buttons for me, but certainly pushes many good ones. Very unique DIPA.

L - darker golden/yellow with a hazy, opaque appearance with a large off-white head that sticks around and leaves a ton of lacing behind.
S - a solid amount of piney hops on the nose along with tropical and citrus notes - some floral and earthy notes
T - follows the nose with piney, bitter hops up front and throughout along with floral and grassy notes as well as a decent amount of tropical and citrus notes.
F - medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Smooth, creamy, yet crisp
O - a really fantastic DIPA from Aslin with a lot more hop and floral notes than most of their NEIPAs.

A wonderful DIPA from Aslin. It looks and smells gorgeous like a traditional NEIPA. It's less sweet than some Midwest NE style IPAs and I like it for that. I'll continue to seek this one out and all Aslin beers when I can get them.

Pouring from a 16 oz. can into a Willi Becher style glass, this beer pours out like a very thick sunny d. One finger worth of tingy white, thick crown sits at the top.

The smell is straight up like juice; mango, melon, pineapple, pink grapefruit, papaya. It’s got a nice, grassy green-ness to it.

The taste comes in with malt being more evident than in the nose. Crackers, bread and some caramel malt like sweetness all tangle with papaya, pink grapefruit and slight grassiness.

The mouthfeel is soft with dry touches of cracker and bread. A touch of accenting bitterness. A full body, and almost creaminess to it.

Overall, I’m really glad I got to try this. It’s my first from Aslin, and it doesn’t disappoint.

L: had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a snifter glass. Had an orange color and a super cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A sweet and enticing aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a mild amount of malt (mostly in the finish), some citrus notes (grapefruit, in particular), lots of tropical fruit (mango), a moderate amount of hops, and a little floral quality. Like all of Aslin's IPAs, this one is incredibly focused and quite effervescent. It's incredibly fruity, but never cloyingly sweet. Delicious.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Another well made Aslin beer. Drinkable.
