This is by far my favorite Johann series beer. Pours a copper orange with thick white lacy head. As soon as you open the can you can smell mango, citrus, among other tropical fruits. If you dig deeper you can get some biscuit notes that pairs well with the vanilla. Taste is very similar but more of a smoothy flavor. Huge mouthful with mild carbonation. Love this one!

Really nice flavor profile, hops to start with a nice bite but still juicy. Finishes with very pleasant mango and vanilla notes. complex and very nice pillowy mouth feel.

16 oz can picked up last Friday from Aslin poured into a can glass

L - Thick, hazy dirty orange. Doesn't leave much lacing
S - Thick, juicy mango and subtle vanilla in the back. Mango really comes out big when sat for a good ten minutes or so. Couldn't smell much of it initially from the fridge
T - Madagascar vanilla beans with a back drop of mango. The vanilla beans rock this so hard!
F - For 9.4% ABV this thing hides it well! Can't feel it. Very thick and creamy like a Tired Hands Milkshake
O - Was expecting a mess but ended up being one of my favorite recent offerings from Aslin in recent runs

Aslin has a great juicy IPA base and this is just another one to add to the mix. First thing I noticed when pouring this beer was the amazing smell. You need to drink this beer out of a tulip to really enjoy it. Beer comes off a little tart but has a juicy mango/orange finish.

At the brewery today and some crowlers for later mmmmmm....

(L) The color was super hazy mango-y orange and opaque. Like straight mango juice.
(A) Smell was hoppy mango. Not getting much vanilla, but was told as beer warms it picks up. Guess I drank it too fast.
(T) JUICY! Mango bomb, as expected. Get touch of vanilla on the taste. Considering mango and vanilla, it's not overly sweet. Just crazy super balanced especially for a 9.4%
(F) Medium-full bodied. Thick and smooth but goes down easy. Mango makes this DIPA dangerously drinkable.

Killer DIPA. So glad I got some crowlers for later.

Beautifully fruity nose. Taste is a Perfect balance between hops and malt without bitterness. Mouthfeel is thick and hearty but also crushable. High ABV @9.4% but no taste of alcohol. Hints of vanilla and mango make appearances without overwhelming or dominating. Color is golden and cloudy like apple cider mixed with Orange Juice. My favorite from Aslin so far!

Well, hello, Johann the Mango Thief!

Pours very cloudy, bright orangey gold color. Smells very mango. No surprise, it's got mangoes in it. Lots of mangoes. And then there's some beer. Yeasty beer that adds some piney resin flavors to tamp down the sweetness from the mango to make it a more pleasurable drinking experience. There is a hint of vanilla, but it's pretty subtle and really only makes its presence known when the brew warms up a bit.
