Purchased today at the 14th St location. Pours bright orange with zero carbonation. Nose is delightful; subtle pineapple. First taste is artificial vanilla and way too sweet. No fruit, only sugar. Zero bitterness or acidity. Mouthfeel is cloying and there’s unwanted vanilla everywhere. Finish, and it’s a long, long finish is artificial vanilla. This could have been complex or at least interesting and it’s just bad. Poured down the sink.
I feel like I’m drinking something totally different from everyone else that’s rated this. C’mon Aslin, you are so much better than this. I’m giving the remaining three away with a strong verbal warning.

This beer blew my shoes off my feet and got me real loose right before my stand up comedy gig so I gotta thank Augies and the makers of this fine beer!
It’s 9.4% ABV yet really smooth and orangey, didn’t even know I was downing a double imperial IPA! Yea baby yea!
If u are ever at Augies on King St in Old Town Alexandria u gotta stop in and get this beer. I was there last night and just straight up downed it on the back patio! A really wonderful brew! Thanks:)

Dark, cloudy, orange beer with a quickly fading off white head. Smells sweet with oranges, vanilla and piney hops. The taste is sweet orange juice with vanilla and an aggressive bitterness. Nice medium body and great carbonation. Pretty tasty beer.
