16 oz. can dated 5/25/17 poured into Teku glass.

L: 2F head with good retention, fair amount of soapy lacing, cap and ring. Beer is a mostly hazy copper.

S: Muted ripe citrus and tropical, fair amount of herbal and earthiness.

T: Follows nose for the most part. It's more a slightly-bitter earthbomb than a juicebomb and more malt-forward than the usual Aslin.

F: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Pretty good drinker on a warm day. Construction is simple but good, balance seems fine as I think the slight bitterness is intentional.

O: More like a session IPA with a bit of body to it than anything else, but pretty good anyway.

Pours a turbid deep peach color with a light white foamy head. Nose is of mellow peaches, grapefruit rind and pale malts. Hop character has fallen off with a month and half age so this one doesn't taste as bright as I believe it would have but it still taste very good. Light peach and mango, citrus skin/flesh and light pale malt base. Some sticky pine gum to finish. Medium body that is slightly creamy.

Canned 5/23/17
16 oz. can poured into a nonic style pint glass.

This looks just like apple cider in the glass. My pour yielded two fingers of off white foam which after a couple of minutes reduced to a thin cap that leaves some slick lacing.

The nose is decent in strength featuring an overall juicy tropical hop impression with a nice sweetbread like malty character. There are some other muted fruity notes that I can't seem to put a name on. The taste is good and rather reliable starting with the juicy hop flavors then moving to a sweeter bready malt flavor and finishing somewhat dry with a moderate peel bitterness and a tiny bite from the carbonation. As with the nose the hop and fruit flavors are a bit muted. Feel is soft, smooth and medium bodied.

This beer is 36 days old. Considering that and some of the muted hop character I would say this is starting to tail off. Even without the fresh hoppy edge it is still a fine IPA. This is my first from Aslin and if this is the norm for them count me in.

From a 2-day-old can, pours a hazy orange-gold. A finger of white foam, bit of lacing.

On the smell I get mango, orange, passionfruit, berries and some pine. Taste is complexly fruity, but with spicy herbs mixed in. Bit of bread dough and an earthy quality toward the finish. Sticky pine resin at the very end sticks around a long time.

Feel is light but smooth.

Great balance between the sweet, tart and piney elements. I really like this, it's a good one.
