It's another one of those NEIPAs, hence the big OJ looking appearance and disinterested head. Actually, one of the more thick looking ones, like orange juice gravy. Nose is very sharp with, I'll go with shallot? Just a fancy way of suggesting onion I suppose. Past that is a cross between juicy fruit gum and grapefruit with some of that earthy veggie on the edges. Taste is a big, slightly soft and dry but bitter punch of grapefruit but there's something else there along the way, like mint leaf? Eucalyptus? Spruce? I don't exactly know, but it adds a fresh, breezy element. Finishes super dry, never too much sweet happening either. Pretty good beer.

The beer pours some very light head that takes a slightly harder pour and lasts only a little while. The beer itself is a cloudy yellow with a slight orange hue; making it look like orange juice. It's a decent look but strongly resembles most of the other beers from them.

The smell and taste are good. Both have a slight oat note underneath the hop notes. The hop notes are fairly good and gives off a very good tropical note. The notes tart off with an orange juice base and is supplemented with a light acidic grapefruit and a grassy pine note in the finish. There is also a slightly boozy note as well that is fairly well hidden.

The feel is good. It has a slightly creamy and smooth heavy body. The booze gives it a slightly firey finish and the feel also has a nice acidity to it that is mild. Also, despite the light head, the beer has a slight carbonation to it as well.

Overall, a good beer and worth trying out.

Pours a turbid orange juice like color. Heavy pour yield fair amount of white foamy head that laces the glass nicely. Grapefruit pith and malt on the nose. Taste of pithy somewhat bitter citrus fruits like grapefruit, oranges and lemon. Sticky almost sweet maltyness to it along with a grassy earthyness. Gets boozy and sharper alcohol notes as it warms. Silky light to medium mouthfeel that thins out as the beer warms.

L: Poured from a growler to a snifter glass. Had a dark orange color and a cloudy / muddy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, long-lasting head. Below average lacing.

S: A sweet and enticing aroma of hops, tropical fruit, malt, pine, and citrus fruit.

T: Tasted of a moderate amount of hops (not overdone, though), lots of citrus fruit (orange), a little bit of pine, a ton of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), and some peaches. A very creamy, fruity and sweet flavor. It's slightly more subtle than some DIPA flavors, but it's quite focused and well balanced. A delicious flavor.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a creamy, yet kind of sharp, finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A well made DIPA. I look forward to trying Aslin's other offerings.
