Poured from a 16 oz can. Appearance is dark orange with a small head. Aroma and flavor feature sweet caramel, booze, and bitter citrus. Mouthfeel is boozy and syrupy. Reminiscent of 120 Minute IPA but not really enjoyable. Pass.

Amazing beer for 18.4%. Strong but now overall boozy!

Who's up for an 18.4% ABV IPA?
Hey, it's Aslin. I'll give it a whirl.
L: 1F head on pour, which disappears instantly. No surprise there given the ABV. Interesting look as it's golden with a hint of orange and lots of carbonation bubbles, like a Golden Crush (free name if anyone is looking). It's not clear, but it's also not hazy.
S: Whatever goes from here, it must be said this smells fantastic. A big old face full of pineapple, peach, and lemon-lime. Some hints of pine. And an aftertone of alcohol that warns "danger, trouble ahead." Without that late breaking note, it would be a 5. No joke.
T: Hoo boy. Overripe orange and pineapple soaked in Everclear is almost how I would describe it, and my one experience with that ended in a concussion. Some pine and earthiness on finish, which is a combination of hot and bitter.
F: Full bodied and then some. Moderate carbonation. I think they tried to amp this up to cut the body but it's just not enough. Becomes a real chore to finish a can.
O: It was a nice try. They shouldn't stop trying.

The beer pours a very light and fizzy head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a flat orange color with a bit of heavy water texture look that you see with liquor.
The smell is good. It has a pretty nice blend of different hop notes that give off a grapefruit citrus note with a dry hopped pine note smack dab in the middle of it all. There are bits of orange that come out as well as a sharp alcohol note, which definitely detracts from the beer a bit.
The taste is just as good as the smell. The main difference is that it comes off as more of an orange citrus with grapefruit and the boozy taste at the end. The pine notes also come out a bit more as it warms up.
The feel is very good. It's dangerously drinkable because it doesn't have that heavy texture you normally get with a heavy bodied beer. The feel has a tiny light biting fizz that goes away pretty quickly. One of the more interesting notes is that it has a really good warmth to it but no burn.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer despite the simplistic taste and smell given how very drinkable it was.
