It has a very cloudy appearance with a nice thick foam head on top.

The aroma is all hops. Big bright citrus hops with some sweet doughy malt and cinnamon in the background.

Right up front it hits with tons of sweet juicy orange and grapefruit like hops over a sweet, almost creamy, bready and cereal like malt base. The cinnamon starts to come through and the vanilla blends into the background. As it finishes some citrus peel flavor and bitterness moves in.

The feel is full, creamy and fairly well carbonated. Overall I am a fan of this beer.

One-week old can poured into Belgian ale glass.

L: 2F frothy off white head with OK retention. Leaves lots of sticky lacing and a cap and ring. Beer is a hazy dull bronze.

S: Cinnamon, vanilla, and bready maltiness. Exactly as advertised, so the score is going to be reflective of a) your preference of those flavors b) in beer.

T: Flavors as advertised. Cinnamon up front, vanilla behind. Kind of a malty, slightly bitter hopped backbone.

F: Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Very drinkable and decently balanced.

O: Aslin always kills it with vanilla and cinnamon, hard flavors to work with. Add pear or peach and this would be the talk of the town. Alas, it is missing that needed fruit element. I gave it a good mark for the execution and drinkability.

What a bizarre concept - Man Eating Toaster is an India Pale Ale with cinnamon and vanilla... and it's fucking delicious. I was tremendously skeptical, but this is your pale cousin to a dessert stout.

The beer pours with a nice finger's width of head and immediately fills your senses with cinnamon and vanilla. I'm still recovering from the flu so I was amazed by how crisp and distinct the nose is. So recognizable, it even cuts through a very congested nose. Quite impressive.

Another thing that I really love about the beer - the flavor is natural and it finishes very clean. The sweetness does not linger or go unpleasant as it warms. Damn, this is phenomenal - so surprisingly so. I'd have walked away from this beer as another garbage gimmick beer - so I'm really glad that a trading partner enclosed one for me.

Tremendous - really excellent beer.
