Pours a dark brown with a finger of head. The nose has notes of peanut butter and a trace of coffee. The flavor profile really brings the peanut butter, as well. But, the chocolate and coffee are pretty much absent from the scene,

Rich and large forming four finger, fist full high tan head out of the can. Nice reverse cascade while forming. Head sits like a giant tipped swiss cheese tan cap, with hardly a budge at all. The body is a deep mahogany red color, some faint hints of light ruby along the edges as well. Real nice looking stout.

Aroma continues in great spades. Excellent creamy and nutty peanut butter, with a hint of dark chocolate, and more so espresso dark coffee. There's a real husky grain to this, and exceptional peanut and nutty flavor that is delicious beyond words. Immensely impressive and mouth watering, with a limited controlled sweetness. The nearly practical perfect roast peanut and char combo period. Gangbusters here.

This beer isn't fooling around. The absolute deliciously perfect rich and silky mouthfeel. This coats the palate like a thick rich and beautiful paint, filling with every crevice of delicious nutty flavor. Creamed nuts, deep coffee and dark rich chocolate, with a spicy kick of dark roasted carbon malt. Finishes with a nutty even salted shell like flavor, mixing with light milk cream for the smallest kiss of sugar. Dark rich espresso, nougat dark chocolate, and sweet milky dark roasted coffee all over. Finishes with a hint of bittering char for great contrast.

This has been one of the most impressive beers I have had in a long time. Not the biggest Milk stout fan either. It just hits the right notes everywhere, and perhaps the faint bitterness is a little jarring too, taking away a touch of the silky character. But that flavor palate is beyond exceptional.

Probably one of the highest rated beers I have scored in a long time.

16oz can. No dating found. This brew is listed as available from the brewery taproom. Listed as 'How Now Brown Cow - Milk Stout Brewed With Peanut Butter, Chocolate & Coffee'
Deep brown colored body. Initial pour results in a two finger large bubble tan colored head, but this reduces back to a partial cap with an active surface. No lacing or oily sheen on the glass.
Aroma is heavier with the peanut butter and coffee, but the chocolate comes through with a deeper whiff. Quite a shift back and forth between the acrid coffee and the sweet chocolate.
Taste is a well blended mixture of peanut, coffee, and chocolate. Seems like the sweetness prevails in the end.
Thinner mouth feel. Okay carbonation.
Imposing aroma, balanced taste, but the body is thin for a milk stout. Not really savory but the blend is reminding me of some smoked malt experiences, but with peanut instead of meat.

The beer pours a nice brown and bubbly head that dissipates quickly but still leaves some behind. The beer itself is a very dark chocolate brown such that it looks black save ford a black hue. The beer also has a good and interesting oily texture to it from the peanut butter.

The smell is pretty straightforward and good. It has a peanut butter upfront mixed with chocolate and a good light coffee in the finish.

The taste is good. The bitter coffee comes upfront first with the peanut butter following it pretty quickly.

The feel is good. It has a medium body with a slight oily note to it and a bit of thickness.

Overall, a fairly good milk stout worth getting to keep warm and awake through the dark and cold.

L - Black with mahogany highlights with a tan head that dissipates quickly leaving behind no real lacing.
S - Smell is incredible with huge amounts of roasted coffee and peanut butter along with some notes of milk chocolate
T - Follows the nose: tons of roasted coffee up front and throughout with some velvety peanut butter notes along with some light notes of milk chocolate. Some roasted malts in there as well - definitely on the sweet side but not too sweet.
F - Medium bodied with a light amount of carbonation - seems a little thin for what I was hoping for/expecting, but otherwise smooth, and somewhat creamy.
O - A really nice milk stout with tons of coffee and peanut butter flavors. It would be perfect with a heavier mouthfeel.

Appearance: Pours fudge brown with a bubbly beige head that settles like a pancake; splashy lacing all around

Smell: Milk chocolate and peanut butter tones with a hint of coffee

Taste: The peanut butter adjunct is prominent from start to finish; with milk chocolate emerging; the coffee takes a back seat and can only be detected in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: A little too sweet for my palate but not surprising given the adjuncts used; a fuller mouthfeel would also benefit

Thanks, Frogger27, for the opportunity
