From an undated 500 ml bottle. Sampled on Jan 15, 2020.

It pours a slightly cloudy golden color under a long lasting foamy white head.

The aroma emits characters of biscuit, dark bread, grass, and floral sensations.

Smooth, medium body.

The taste is sweet and biscuit-like with a grassy and generally dry finale. Very nice.

Pours amber with a 1/4 inch cream colored head, which dissipates. Moderate lacing. Hazy. Suspended yeast particles.

Aroma is bready, yeasty, malty.

Taste follows nose, bread, malt, yeast. Little bitterness.

Medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation. Semi-dry finish.

Pretty decent but not the best of the German beers I've had so far.

i was excited to see this one on tap, but disappointed when it arrived to our table almost totally flat looking, like apple juice in the glass, without any head or visible carbonation, like it had been sitting there awhile or was just tired, not at all what we expected from this. the aroma is a little sweet, with some classic dusty german tones to the grain and an obvious old worldy lager yeast, but its work seems incomplete, as this has some baked sugar character to it and some red apple fruitiness, its autumnal but it lacks the cleanness i wanted in a german lager. the flavor is good, but there is some oxidation in it, i dont think this travelled or stored very well at all, and probably is radically better closer to the source. some breadiness and weight to this, and it doesnt just seem from being unfiltered, but like this is a pretty heavy lager anyway. some carbonation would go a long way for drinkability, but its just not here, and as much as this tastes old worldy and good to the traditionalist in me, the execution misses cannot be overlooked either. i wanted way more from this, and ended up being disappointed. ill revisit it again, but my first impression was not great to say the least...

Pours burnt orange color. Cloudy and opaque even when held to the light. Two finger sudsy head dissipates pretty quickly leaving no residual head.

Aroma has notes of bready malts, grains, a hint of sweet honey and some grassy herbal hops. In line with expectations for the style.

Taste follows the nose albeit with the grainy notes being slightly more predominant compared to the bready malts. Some light sweet notes honey like in character. There is a real hoppy bite on the back end of this beer that carries a gassy character. The flavor profile actually blossoms as the beer warms up a bit.

Feel is medium bodied, but somewhat chewy. Prickly carbonation. Smooth dry finish.

Overall this was a really nice beer. Hope I cross paths with this one again.

Light, golden and clear with a billowing white head from a moderately aggressive pour. Grainy, corny and sweet aroma that finishes with a little bit of alcohol. Sweet taste initially that goes in two directions. First, there’s the obvious sweet and corny taste but secondly, there’s an undeniable earthiness that comes across like Perrier or some sort of mineral water. Finish is light and dry while the feel was slightly creamy and solidly medium bodied.

Pale-to-deep golden body, lightly hazed, under a coupla fingers of fluffy white foam... Aromas of hearty grain, tangy yeast, and suggestions of grassy fields and barns of hay... Flavors bring earthy herbal and grainy malts as well as some mild sweetness and biscuit and cracker... Medium-light with some backbone and grainy chew; light shellac of pine and grain; mildly bitter... Great finish makes me want more... Better than I expected, but since I am not particularly familiar with the style, my scores represent how much I liked it more than how well I understand its representation of the style...

First off I raise this stein of beer to Ms. Beasley the most loving and near perfect pet a person could have.Pours into a half liter stein a hazy kind of honey /straw color with a large blooming near two finger head atop that settles into a thin pillow-like mass.Grainy notes in the nose and slightly metallic.A lush feel that goes down quite easy.Bready as all get out on the palate with some honey notes, there is quite a sharp bitterness in the finish wich you don't see much in this style from this country.A very well rounded keller beir, big and bready at the onset with good sweetness and a hopped up finish.Very well made.

Pours hazy, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is honey, grass, and toasted malt. Sweet with bitter backbone, medium-light bodied and high carbonation. Makes for a nice and clean, asy drinking lager.

Enjoyed on tap Armsby Abbey. Awesome lager. Creamy soft mouthfeel, light piney hop bitterness, toasty biscuity malt flavor.
