I ventured to the brewery and bought an assortment of 355 ml cans, which are difficult to find in the grocery stores and impossible at the LCBOs/Beer Stores. This one is only distributed at the brewery, apparently. It was an OK IPA with a decent hop, but I expected more hoppy bitterness given the abv.

Draft at Bar Hop. Pours light amber, crystal clear with foamy head. Aroma: indistinct - some piney notes ovee unfocused malt sweetness. Flavour: Piney hops over caramel malt sweetness . Not particularly complex but clean and tefreshing. Would make a decent summer beer. Clean on the palate with arefreshing finish.

Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of light piney hops and citrusy notes is pleasant. Taste is light piney notes with some citrusy notes and light caramel notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but doesn’t stand out from the sea of IPAs.

Crystal clear bronze with a white head, thick ring of retention leaves a nice lace.

Aroma of pine, papaya, grapefruit rind and spearmint.

Restrained bitterness lets a little caramel and sponge toffee sweetness through. Hop flavours are piny and herbal, with marmalade in the finish.

Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of moderate.

A fine, balanced beer, but the hopping isn't my thing.

Pours a deep amber color with 1-2 fingers of off-white head with decent retention and nice lace. The nose is spicy, dry with some citrus, nice but light. The taste starts with caramel malt, biscuit and dries out with some nice American bittering hops with a pleasant grapefruit pith zing on the finish. Smooth mouthfeel with good carbonation. A nice, albeit non-descript, IPA.

A true everyday IPA. A great hop and malt balance. Super impressed with this newly discovered brewery from Ottawa. 355 ml can from the brewery, can't wait to get another one of these.
