Golden Ale. A blonde, lighter bodied beer with a floral aroma and a crisp, hoppy finish that's not bitter. The hop character of Alaskan Pale is due to dry hopping by hand during the fermentation process.

12oz picked up at the Boise Coop for about $1.45... poured into my red wine glass while listening to the RIS party mix on the iPod... Tool's cover of "No Quarter".
Very Very shortlasting 1/2" white head atop a chill hazed dark gold.... uninspiring. Minimal lacing... but what is there lasts until it dries out.
Aroma is nothing special... toasted malts.... munich and pale.... lite citrus/pine aroma .... I will give it the fact that it's plenty clean... no real noticeable yeastiness creeping in.
Flavor is toasty malts... with a very good bitter balance.. some spicy/citrus and floral hop flavors that are beat down by the malts.... Carbonation sorta washes away the flavors. An unexpected pinion finish as it warms... that is complimented by the slight sweetness.
Don't know what to say about this one.... nothing to bash; but nothing to sing praises to. Just good verging on pretty good.

Comes in super light, straw yellow, lots of clarity, white head, over 1/2", lacing and retention are standard. Aroma was dusty, grassy and not all that hop forward, just as much cheerios toastyness.
Crisp carbonation, light grassy mouthfeel, tiny bit of bittering hops. Good with chips and spicy salsa.
