This beer pours clear deep golden brown with a creamy off-white head and a wonderful holiday aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg and cloves. A lighter style than our Pumpkin Porter, this beer strives for balance in the sweetness and pumpkin flavor with a hint of hops in the background to cut through the forward spicy flavors. A vibrant clove and cinnamon finish wakes up the palate for the next sip.

Not overly impressed with this pumpkin offering, but I am admittedly in search of pumpkin pie in a bottle. This had subtle pumpkin flavor. Another in a series of disappointing pumpkin beers.

Bright, clear copper. Tannish head is very fizzy, and of lower retention, though quite large at first. It sounds like a can of soda was just opened. Aroma is not very strong, but not watered down either: natural pumpkin and pumpkin spice. Similar on the palate, although pumpkin decidedly takes the lead over spice toward the beginning of each sip. And even as spices set in, herbal hops are very noticeable. Medium-bodied, thicker than water, slick and sloshy, mild prickly and sudsy carbonation, swallows in gulps.

Update for one I attempted to age about a year, 11/21/16:

Golden and carroty in appearance, mostly clear. Very light tan head of good retention. Smells like pumpkin bread, or like minimally sweetened spice/carrot cake. So, quite good. Apart from pumpkin and clove and cinnamon and caramel, palate is somewhat vegetal and boozy, with peppery reto-olfaction. Medium-bodied and packed with soft suds. Moderately warming. 3.75/3.75/3.5/3.5/3.5. Not as good as fresh, but still quite good considering it was only 6% ABV and aged a year.

12oz bottle poured into a goblet

A- pours a clear and bright golden color with a small fizzy white head that disappears almost immediately, leaving no head behind, bubble shooting up the glass

S- aromas of cinnamon. nutmeg, cola, vegetal pumpkin & a hint of cream

T- allspice and a hint of cinnamon up front , followed by lots of vegetal notes and flavors of ketchup and cola, dry finish with a strange spice linger

M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a bit of a slick finish

O- the flavors just don't seem to mesh with this one, bringing the drinkability down

Orange-amber brew with a thinnish off white head that dissipated to a ring. Smells carmally and lightly pumpkins pie spice nominally allspice and nutmeg, and just a bit of pumpkin gourd. Taste marzen with a light but pleasing pumpkin pie spice of allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin as well. Body is medium-light with medium carb. Overall this is on the lighter end of the pumpkin type spiced ales and the spice is understated which isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you're looking for an easy to drink lightly presented pumpkin ale, this fits the bill.
