12oz bottle, best by 011418
Deep copper colored ale with a creamy beige head. Nice coffee aroma with caramel malt, toffee, and chocolate with some earthy hops. Nice balanced flavors with light roast coffee at the forefront along with sweet caramel and toffee, toasty grain, a bit of chocolate with earthy hops adding some needed bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, finishing semi-dry and excellently balanced.

Bottle poured into an Alaskan Brewing Pilot Series glass

A: Pours chestnut brown with a frothy khaki head that settles to a thin layer and laces lightly.

S: Nutty, toasty, slightly roasty, smooth coffee, a hint of chocolate, slightly earthy, faint fruity notes, and caramel sweetness.

T: Toasty, nutty, roasty, smooth coffee, milk chocolate, a whisper of smoke, faint fruity notes, a little earthy, rounded out with caramel cream sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: I wouldn't mind waking up with a cup of this every day. Perhaps a touch too sweet, but overall really nice.

Picked up a 6 pack of this in the summer of 2017, has a best by November 2017 date on it, but I saved one beyond that. Simple summary, it stays delicious beyond its best by date. Pours a chestnut and reddish brown pour, good clarity, isn't dark, gets lighter and brighter towards the edge, off white head, you would think it would be darker but no there is basically a white head on it, 1/4" but then it dies down to the thinnest of rings.

Nice coffee nose, it isn't pungent but its respectable and pairs well with brown malt truly enjoyable, just like the taste, which is quite refreshing and better than expected. Brown ales pair very well with coffee and this is a solid example of a coffee brown. I think its solid stuff and makes a brown ale plenty drinkable and dare I say first tier.

Oh! I should not have shared this bottle with my SO! Chocolate smell, strong coffee flavor and delicious coffee aftertaste. So, so good! Beautiful nutty brown color!

Ah, a brown ale, one of our favorites and sometime hard to find a good one in a world of IPAs.

Rich, dark brown pour seems promising. Clear, a little light comes through. Light head & lacing. Light aroma, faintly sweet and bready, and iced coffee overall. A light mouthfeel, coffee of course and a chocolate background. Overall, a little one-dimensional with a single medley of taste that fades away, lacks depth. Nothing wrong with the beer, it just doesn't excite us as to the coffee or the brown ale style.

Poured out a clear, light brown color with a small, thin head of foam. It smelled strongly of coffee with hints of chocolate and toffee. It tasted of roasty coffee with chocolate, caramel and toffee.

On tap. Khaki head. Copper brown color.

Lots of fresh coffee. Light roast. Caramel and chocolate malt. Reminds me of coffee bender. Very easy drinking. Really solid.
