Oh my god this brewery was so freakin cool I was already having such a great time in Alaska and discovered this diamond in the rough the staff was super friendly and really knew a lot about brewing beer very accommodating to letting me try all the samples over and over ,I cannot choose a favorite one but if I was forced I would choose the Alaskan Summer Ale a light ale that begs to be sipped at a cookout with your friends ,such a refreshing beer I've found some in Minnesota on my last tour of brewery's ,but try any of them you won't be disappointed ,out of all my 20 plus breweries and countless brewpubs this one is the one hardest to,get to but worth the reward in the end cheers to Alaska and Cheers to the fine people at Alaskan Brewery in Juneau Alaska I hope to return one day .

Has the vibe of a tasting room plus. Nice wooden table area in the middle of the bar portion with a decent amount of space dedicated to selling merchandise. Staff there was really friendly and talkative. Crowd was a mix of tourists and locals as this is a good fifteen minute ride from the cruise ships. It is worth noting that there is a shuttle from their downtown store that will get you a ride and four samples for $20. The selection was amazing. i believe there were about twelve drafts on tap including some brewery only experimental ales. A neat place to stop in Alaska and one that I will return to.

Oldest brewery of the state of Alaska and I think they're the largest production (most barrels brewed) too. Pretty nice and clean brewery. Not as spacious in there as I had hoped for, maybe a bit packed during tourist season. If you're looking for bottles, you can always walk to the Breeze In for whatever is in season.
