Pours enthusiastically to a proud foaming head. There is a slight fizz which releases an intense espresso forward dark chocolate after aroma.
The taste is sharp with a nice balance while the espresso soars above.
Crisp clean feel that finishes off leaving you wanting more.
This is an excellent stout.

Sampling a 473 ml can poured into a snifter at cellar temp. This beer was picked up in Tantramar at Bagtown Brewing and Im reviewing it in New Hampshire tonight.
Date stamp is 03/01/2023.
The beer pours a rich coffee brown color and no light passes through my glass. I get a dense, slightly fizzy beige head of 2 cm. This foam fades to a thin edge layer and some small wispy islands.
The aroma is a good dose of coffee grounds or espresso, some roasted malt and very dark chocolate. No hops and no hint of any ABV. Seems to fit for the style.
First sip reveals a medium body with a thinner body than expected and very fine almost nonexistent carbonation. Drinks very easy for the physical traits.
Flavor is roasted malts and coffee grounds with some dark chocolate. No hint of hops and the ABV is hidden. This is pretty much what you would expect from an espresso stout, the body is a little thinner than I would like, but its a fine beer.

Coal black with a modest head and lacing. Chocolate coffee nose. Rich coffee taste over a medium body. Good crispness rounds out this strong stout.

Today's CANBIF selection is a dark, rich espresso stout. Heavy on the coffee in both smell and taste - this could be a fine breakfast beer, indeed. I found the mouthfeel a bit thin, but overall this hit the mark for the style.

Serving Type: 500 mL Can

A- Pours a very dark, slightly ruby topped by a beautiful 2 finger tan head with good retention. Lots of lacing.

S- Dark roast coffee, hints of milk chocolate, cream.

T- Very deep and intense coffee flavour that offers the astringency of a proper cup of coffee. Despite this intense coffee flavour, along with the high cacao dark chocolate, a distinct creaminess also shines through. Delicious stuff!

M- Medium-Heavy Body and low carbonation: The way every proper Stout should be. Extremely easy drinking with a velvety smooth mouthfeel.

O- I think this beer has single-handedly made me like Coffee-infused stouts. Before having this beer, every coffee Stout I had seemed either dull or just plain fake. To make the point brutally clear, if I heated this beer up (no way in hell I would actually do it), I could imagine it tasting like a great cup of espresso. In other words, this beer is awesome. Do yourself a favour and try it.
