Notes:
Brewed with three types of hops–Styrian Golding, Centennial, and Crystal–this is a hop-forward, full-flavor IPA. Styrian Golding hops, the cornerstone of this brew, are added at the end of boil to capture the candy-orange quality and aroma. This flavor-profile is complemented with a dash of orange peel. Vienna malt is used to add a slightly sweet taste and perfect balance providing your taste buds with a fresh-twist to the traditional IPA.

Clear, light amber and moderate frothy off-white head with good retention. Light sweet citrus and fresh earthy hop aroma. Light pilsner and slight bready sweetness. Light citrus flavoring and a moderate bitter finish and linger. Light refreshing body.
Suitable for a summer day, the light body and citrus flavor are delicately balanced with a restricted sweetness. It has a rather dry body for a beer called Candypeel since it implies a certain sweetness. It really has a nice subtle flavor, especially at a slightly warmer temperature, although the lingering bitterness leaves a tacky/ oily taste that leaves a little to be desired.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Filtered clarity of a deep golden color, decent lacing. Overripe orange, musty yeast, grainy, & fresh grassy aroma. Lush malt backbone, balancing bitterness. Slight orangey hop flavor, more pith than rind. Fruity and earthy with a smooth mouthfeel. Not sure how this is an IPA, perhaps these "flavored IPAs" have jumped the shark? Not a bad sip but its more of a citrus flavored pale ale IMO. If you are going to slap IPA on the bottle, make it an IPA.

Pours a pretty clean/clear golden orange color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice one-finger thick/creamy off-white head, which leaves an island and some sticky lacing. The nose is hoppy, with some malt notes, citrusy. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, very nice touch of malts, citrusy. Medium body, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Not familiar with BridgePort Brewing Co. I picked up a sixer of this at the local HEB grocery store mostly because I'd never seen it before. Always willing to try a new IPA!
Pours a bright golden amber color with a smallish head. No lace to speak of. The nose is big with notes of citrus (lemon and orange) and a strong citrusy hard candy aroma. I like this smell. The taste is nice, again with noticeable orange flavor and a solid hoppy bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is firm, but not chewy.
Overall this is a fine beer. Maybe not something that is going to stop you in your tracks and say "whoa," but certainly a serviceable IPA. I would certainly try other things from this brewery though and hope to see more brews from the Pacific NW trickling down to south central Texas. Cheers

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left some sudsy trais of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange peel, toasted caramel and floral notes. It tasted of orange, light pine notes and toffee.

12 oz bottle from Bend Oregon, consumed nearby. No date
Apricot colored body with a hedgehogs size, durable, bone-colored head. Exceptional lacing.
More orange peel than candy, this IPA has near average bitterness and is far from sweet.
Interesting herbal-citrus aroma.
Lingering, hoppy aftertaste with near moderate bitterness.

Poured into a restaurant pint glass. Pours a medium to dark coppery amber with a two finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops and light orange and lemon. Flavor is pale, lightly biscuit malt, citrus hops, orange and grapefruit fruit and rind. Finishes with biscuit and citrus hop bitterness with hints of orange esters. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A nice old style IPA with a lightly biscuit malt base and bright citrus hops with pleasant light orange ester that fit with the name, although fortunately not as sweet as the name would suggest. A good ale to accompany my Chinese peanut sauce dinner.

Starts rather sweet and ends with a pleasant bitterness. A little hot on the lips. The hops add some spiciness but then the orange peel takes over. The bitterness grows more in the aftertaste. Fruity and bitter sums it up.
Light body but the malty sweetness gives it a thicker mouthfeel. This reminds me of the Black Raven's Flock Party I had couple days ago-- a seriously over-citrused candy beer. The Stumptown is by comparison much less flavored up and almost subtle. Drinkable, if a little peculiar. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Fred Meyer in Burlington, Wash.

Very hazy pour, nice full white foam.
Smells just okay, with a hint of bread and rind.
Taste is zesty and sweet with orange notes. Tropical bouquet of hops, but it is also earthy/ somewhat peppery.
Feels medium and well-carbonated.
Not half bad.

not a bad ipa, cool concept for one anyway, featuring a lesser used hop in this fashion, and giving it some real support with bona fide heavy hitting hops and some orange peel to accent. they have done a nice job with it overall, but it doesnt really speak to me personally. clear and bright and orange, and with a delicious creamy white head with great retention. smells only a little like the citrus peel, more hops than fruit by a mile. the styrian golding hop is a little less familiar to me in this context, but i get some bitter lawn and some lemon from it for sure, and then the woody bitter hearty centennial as well. the flavor is like the nose, with a little more malt flavor and sweetness than i think this needs, but good as a body builder. the orange peel contributes as much bitterness as it does flavor i think, and the centennial hops overtake the more subtle varietals pretty easily in the sweeter finish. clever little beer, but it just didnt get my juices flowing too much. i like the use of the hops though, and can definitely appreciate what they were shooting for with this one.
