This classic winter ale has a beautiful light brick red body. Clean looking with a thin kahki head and moderate lace.
Light caramel and mulling spices over biscuits both in aroma and flavor. The flavor also punches in a mild cherry, maybe even cranberry touch.
A little thin on the body and definitely on the sweeter side of the fence. Easy to drink with a medium carbonation and dry finish.
Once again, this is a classic. Might not be the best winter warmer out there, but it's a fine one nonetheless.
Ebenezer, you will be missed.
Cheers.

Nice and malty with s touch of spice (nutmeg?) , makes this a nice cold weather brew. Smooth, Aroma is malt and spice, taste is more of the same, dark amber/light brown with thin beige head, Just the right amount of spice makes this one of the better ones.

Pours dark red/brown and leaves the same colored body with a two finger foamy white head that rises a bit and falls at a nice pace but ends up creating a nice soapy looking valley with a ton of speckled foamy lacing all over the place (nice show); the smell is full of malty breadiness up front, light raisin and molasses enter in the background with some extra dark fruitiness entering in the aroma; the taste has caramel and sweet breadyiness with some added earthy orange and nutmeg; sweet sticky caramel aftertaste; sweet dry finish; its pretty easy on the palate for being a darker Winter Warmer, carbonation is pretty smooth and good for the style and for me; overall pretty nice Winter Warmer that I would have again.

Like a couple other bridgeport beers I have had, great to good on every aspect except one...... to much carbonation. would love to try this beer with less carbonation.

Brown color, decent clarity for such a dark color, red to the edge, tan 1/2" head on it. Aroma was rich, brown malts and nuttiness.
More nuttiness, solid hopping, bitter bite, minimal warmth. Comes off like a hoppy brown. Could use more malt to stave off the excessive bitterness in a winter warmer. Its a malty winter beer for people who like their winter warmers to be equal parts amber and brown ales frankly.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a slightly hazy lighter mahogany-brown color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer heaviest of a sweeter caramel and darker fruit smell of cherry and raisin. Along with these aromas comes notes of caramel and some spice is there as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter dark fruit flavor of cherry and raisin, just as the nose would have suggested. Along with these flavors are some lighter roasted malt tastes, which grow stronger and stronger to the end of the taste. The fruit while heaviest upfront, is later overtaken by a caramel and slightly bready taste. A hint of a boozy rum flavor and some spice flavors develop later in the profile, melding well with the sweeter caramel and fruit to leave a nice warming flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that was rather average. Overall the feel was rather good for the fruit, syrupy and warming tastes of the brew, although just a hint less carbonation may have been slightly better overall.
Overall – This was a very tasty brew overall, with a great drinkinability nice light warming feel and just enough spice to balance the sweet.
