12 ounce bottle poured to wine glass
dark amber orange hue, very hazy, small tan foam that slowly goes away
not a lot of aroma for an imperial IPA
bitter, some sweetness
creamy, good carbonation, long follow through, bitter then tart aftertaste
very good beer, ok to repeat but not look for

(From notes) Had it at a social occasion during a Portland visit. It has a nice smooth thick head with a malty smell. The taste was spicy with cinnamon and vanilla, also dark fruit and lemon. Nice creamy feel.

A crimson kind of color, deep, ruby, red. About 1/4" of off white head forms. Mildly hoppy, c hops and red malts here.

All the usual irish moss, red malt, hops, earthy vibe going on. A little bit of grapefruit creeps into it. I wouldn't agree on the triple hopping bill living up to it, but it did hide the alcohol well and remain pretty drinkable throughout. Plenty of bitterness. I'd say above average for style.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark brown color with amber hues and a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of hops, caramel malts. Taste is identical to the smell, hops up front, malts at the finish, well balanced. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

12 oz. Bottle

Pours a very nice cloudy dark amber color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, and leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, little spice note, hoppy. The taste is very nice malty, slightly hoppy, little spice note. Medium body. Overall, this one is very tasty.

I like red beers and this one ranks near the top of them. it has a high ABV% and it's not too pricey for a six pack of bottles so that makes it even better.

This one’s a conundrum. Looks great, smells funky (somebody mentioned ethanol), taste is both strong malt and hops. The smell is a little off-putting, and the taste is a little getting used to, but I can sense what the brewer was trying to do. Might be better on tap...decent
