Kentucky Light is a light bodied easy drinker for a thirst quenching low calorie, low carb experience. The aroma is lively with a crisp, zesty finish. That’s because our specialized yeast, said to be the life force in beer, is the single greatest flavor contributor to this remarkably smooth and flavorful microbrew sure to be a Bluegrass favorite for years to come. Whether you’re strictly a light beer drinker or prefer a medium bodied microbrew, one taste of Kentucky Light will prove you can have a great tasting light beer full of flavor without all the calories.

This light and transparent pale golden kolsch was brought out in an ale glass with no visible head or lace.
Aroma very typical adjunct, with the requisite corniness. Not a lot going for it so far.
Flavor pretty unremarkable, malty corn with a hint of hops presence, but not much. Kinda flat and plain.
Overall, only a slight bit more drinkable than a mainstream lager or light beer. Didn't enjoy this one.
Had a bottled version, and it, too, reminded me of PBR. Nah.

It definitely looks the part, though very slightly on the darker side for a style that's traditionally very pale. It's a deep shining white gold color with fantastic clarity. The head is pure white, fluffy and thick though small. Retention is just above-par, and lacing is slightly more than moderate.
The smell has some not-quite-toasty grains with light fruit notes, a bit of citrus, and a zesty tartness. It is dry, even to the point of chalky, as the leafy vinous character makes me think Kolsch is in fact the correct designation.
The flavor doesn't bring it quite as well, grains more substantial and the light, almost effervescent dry note almost lost. Malts are still dry, pretty crackery, with some toast as well. Leaf does add a touch of bitterness. The taste just seems to have lost some of the finesse and depth the aroma had.
It's crisp all the way through, and strongly at that, but it's creamier than I would think. It has a feel that the ample carbonation leads toward fluffy, the bite just keeping it shy of being too filling in its light body.
