Kentucky Vanillla Barrel Cream Ale is our take on a classic American style of beer. We took a cold-conditioned cream ale brewed with a hint of flaked corn and bourbon vanilla beans and aged it in freshly decanted Kentucky bourbon barrels for a minimum of two months. A perfect blend of vanilla and bourbon notes make this cream ale irresistible. The medium body and 5.5% ABV make Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale the perfect complement to any dessert, or all day event.

Actually not a bad beer it has a decent vanilla tone to it but very little bourbon or caramel taste. Mildly grassy smooth grainy taste yet the vanilla is kind of artificial and cloying. Would drink it again if I am looking for a creme ale.

Look: Golden yellow orange color, moderate white head that leaves little to no lacing.
Smell: Dominant vanilla. No real hint of bourbon, maybe a very faint hint of wood.
Taste: Follows the nose with a very dominant but not overpowering vanilla. The vanilla complements the cream ale exceptionally well. There is a faint lemony hops bitterness on the back end, and no lingering artificial vanilla aftertaste. No real sign of the barrel or the bourbon in the taste.
Feel: Light and refreshing with a moderate amount of carbonation, even with a fairly hard pour.
Overall: A very good vanilla cream ale. I'm not at all sure what the bourbon barrel aging adds to this beer, as I don't really detect it in the smell or the taste, but the vanilla cream ale is well done with a dominant vanilla that is not overpowering or artificial. I'd pick this up again.

Cool bottle, cool aged in bourbon barrels gimmick, but it’s pricey and the vanilla flavor was a bit too much for me. I love vanilla bean ice cream, but whenever I have a Vanilla Coke, it just tastes too artificial, and that was the vanilla flavor I picked up from this one. It was okay, but not a repurchase.
