12 ounce bottle poured into a snulip glass.
L---Impenetrably dark brown color. An aggressive pour yielded two fingers of light brown head. Head faded quickly to a cap and left very nice lacing.
S---Well, there's coffee and bourbon on the nose. But not as prominent as expected. Roasty malts are also noticeable.
T---Coffee is stronger than on the nose, but bourbon is still lacking. Roasted malts & cocoa are also present.
F---Medium mouthfeel, ample carbonation. Just ok.
O---A bit of a letdown. I was excited about a stout aged on coffee in bourbon barrels. But this one is just ok.

May have left this one in the cellar too long, the bourbon mostly dropped out and the coffee was faint. The feel was pretty thin for a BA stout but not bad.
The taste ended up being a really decent stout, not necessarily BA in flavors but still quite tasty.
I guess I should try it again, and drink it fresh. Heck, they don’t even list the name the same as what is on the bottle.

Notes as written 08/18/2022:
Light leather-brown clear body, bubbly pour with a fine white head that dissapates after a minute or so, very very aromatic of toffee and coffee, almost like entering a good fresh coffee shop full of beans intertwining togethor, very smooth and easy to drink, not overpowering in flavor but overwhelmingly delightful, slight bitter aftertast light you just ate a coffee bean covered in toffee

some good complexity, roasted malts, bit of caramel, light coffee on the finish, quickly disapating head though, a bit thin, a "lite" stout in my book, but a good solid drinker

This is a 12oz. bottle, pouring into the Bourbon Barrel snifter. Three fourths fit in the glass with a one finger tan head that quickly dissipated. This is a very dark stout, almost black.
The nose is sweet, light oak scents, vanilla, and I am getting a good whiff of the bourbon.
The flavor starts with sweet roasted malt, a touch of oak, with the dry coffee finish. There is a lot going on here it is hard to separate all the flavors. There is bourbon there but it is not over powering.
This is smooth, yet there is a touch of carbonation fizz. As the ale warms so do I, my guess it is the bourbon. I like The Bourbon Barrel Stouts like this, the oak shows up, roasted malt, a touch of coffee, a hint of vanilla, and there is enough bourbon there but it does not steal the show!

At 8% this is somewhere between a regular American stout and an imperial. It doesn't give much away on the nose, and the majority of the coffee and bourbon is on the finish. Smooth, rich and full of flavour.

Pours a very dark brown with hints of red and a thin cream head.
Aroma of straw, biscuits, vanilla, raisins, pecans, and hints of bourbon. No coffee in the aroma.
Taste is heavy bourbon, like someone poured a shot into my glass. Beyond that are bread and roasted grain notes of a mild stout, and a mild bitterness. Still no coffee that I can discern.
Mouth feel is good, nice and rich.
Overall it's okay, if disappointing. I love coffee beers, so I'm disappointed that I couldn't pick up any coffee in a beer with coffee in the name. The bourbon is heavy and unbalanced - I like bourbon, but it tastes like I added bourbon to an average stout myself rather than a beer made with bourbon. The base stout is light and nothing special on it's own.

L - Poured black with half finger tan head quickly dissipating to a thin ring.
S - Coffee, roasted malt, faint bourbon
T - Roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and noticeable bourbon
F - Medium-light body with fizzy carbonation. Somewhat thin.
O - I was expecting something a bit thicker. Great taste but feel and smell was a bit off for me.
