Vacation time.

Yeah, I did the tourist thing. This isn't a bad beer for an AAL, usual light color and light everything else (no malt or hops to speak of) and I can't honestly say how it would taste if it had to travel here in the hot hold of a cargo vessel. At the source, so to speak, it was pleasant and palatable.

I wouldn't go out of my way to get it but if offered wouldn't turn it down.

A - Poured out a clear, pale straw yellow color with a small, short-lived head. It left little to no lacing.

S - It smelled of grains and caramel with a subtle floral presence.

T - Not bad for a green bottle. Sweet caramel and grain flavor with a touch of bitterness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light bodied ale with a dry, clean finish.

O - This is a nice beer from Belize. Glad someone brought some back for me.

250 ml. bottle poured into a hotel drinking glass from where we stayed in San Pedro.

Appearance: Pale gold color to the body, with a quickly dissipating, but initially frothy bright white head to the brew.

Smell: Mild grain and either corn sweetness or diacetyl. Not much more.

Taste: Grain and mild bitterness. Easy to drink, and not much of a finish. But it tastes fine in the Belizean heat.

Mouthfeel: Lighter-bodied, moderate carbonation.

Overall: A Belizean version of the American adjunct. Easy going. Not bad in the heat or drinking it at the local bars. For what it is, and with the limited choices, I definitely drank my fair share when we were there.

Pours a thin white bubbly head that fades to a light ring with no lacing. Very clear and very pale yellow color.

Smells grainy, sweet and macro like. Maybe some german sazz hops of something of the sort.

Tastes similar to the smell. Sweet, grainy and malty. Not offensive in any way, just not full flavored.

Overall this is an easy drinking summer time beer. Quite fizzy and light on the palate. This was not cheap to come by as a friend brought it back from the source. Thank you Bryan.
