The aroma has hints of toast and caramel, the beer pours a clear amber with a quickly fading light tan head. The flavor is mild caramel and toasted notes, with a slightly sweet finish. Any hopping in this beer is very mild. Moderate body, and easy drinking. Pretty middle of the road.

Bottle code 7283. Oct. 10? Sam Adams glass.
A: pours a clear copper orange; bubbly white head fades to nothing fast. Literally no head. Loads of big bubble carbonation.
S: smells lager yeasty, slightly sweet, slightly toasty. Malty.
T: arrives watery, slightly toasty-bready. Not as sweet as one might expect; kind of watery. Decent; very similar to but perhaps slightly better than Yuengling. Very similar flavor profile but less sweet and less adjuncty.
M: lighter side of medium, high carbonation with slight slickness.
O: reminds me of a cheap Oktoberfest or even a festbier style. Not bad, but not really good, either. In a short "like Yuengling, but better."

Having this very local beer Over the Rhine at Motr park across from the Woodward theater before the show. This is a clean, crisp malt edged local lager with a tiny hop kick. This is not bad but it is what it is. Simple, local and fine. No more.

Hudepohl Pure Lager | Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Co. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, the head on this beer is three fingers thick, with spotty lacing, and a clear straw gold body.
Smells very malty, almost like bread or pizza dough.
I taste pretty much the same kind of "dough malt" thing going on, with a metallic aftertaste. Like this was brewed with well water or idek.
Mouthfeel is medium-light with mild carbonation.
Overall, I'll rate Hudepohl Pure Lager | Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Co. with a solid 4.

Hudepohl Pure Lager brewed by Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Co., With an ABV of 5.00% This American Amber Red Lager pours out a deep golden amber color with a nice white head. Faint lacing on the glass. The smell of Hudepohl Pure Lager is rich with grains and malts , sweetness. You also pickup on some grassy notes and hops in the smell of this brew. To me the smell is a little off, might just be me. Now for the taste, it is smooth but rich with flavors. You do pick up a mild sweetness, from the malts. However the ending taste of Hudepohl Pure Lager smooth and clean. There is a lot going in the taste of this brew. Hudepohl Pure Lager , has a lot going on in it, there, is nothing overpowering about this brew. This Lager has a real nice balance to it as well. The month feel of Hudepohl Pure Lager is , Malty, Clean , Smooth , and Refreshing. This is a easy going brew. Overall I'm giving Hudepohl Pure Lager a 4.25 out of 5. I would buy this brew again. Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Co., Did a nice job with this brew. If you are looking for a sweet Malty brew look this one up.

Enjoyed from the tall boy "40 years of fireworks" collectible can celebrating the WEBN fireworks
thanks to a friend from work---Cheers Kevin!
This fine little lager pours a very nice clear and luminous amber color with a nice head of
white foam that subsides to a thin ring and pool with light lacing that is a tad short lived.
Nose of light grains and sweet caramel malts. Flavors hit the right notes for an easy drinking
classic lager. Smooth caramel and light grain notes sweep the taste with a touch of herbal hop notes
and subtle breaded malts. Nice clean finish, medium carbonation keeps it lively and drinkable.
Overall, a perfect Cincinnati classic made for a night of Skyline Chili and a ball game. WAY better
than de-light. Overall a good session lager made for celebrating a nicely mowed lawn.
Cheers

Appearance: Pours a hazy orange with a decent size white head that stayed for the duration of the drink. Minimal lacing that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Bready, malt with a bit of Dimethyl Sulfide (DMS), not to a fault. A little yeast character coming through in the form of light fruit.
Flavor: Balanced to the malt side with some sweetness. Low hop flavor, slightly floral. No bitterness, and no aftertaste. Finish is short and clean.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with medium carbonation. Smooth, with a bit of creaminess.
Overall Impression: Hudepohl Pure Lager packs a bit more character than the average American Pale Lager. Hudy adds a creaminess and sweetness that is its only real feature. It is quite drinkable, but unremarkable in the sea of lagers. This would make a good ball park beer. It isn't bad by any means, but it certainly isn't a stand out.
