Reviewed blindly courtesy of Blind BIF #6.

Big ol' 24oz can poured into 20oz imperial nonic glass.

Appearance: Filled the glass with about 1/2 finger white head. Body is amber and clear. Head doesn't last long, lacing is light.

Smell: Corn, alcohol, light caramel malt, breadiness. It's not the worst thing I've ever smelled, but it's not the best either.

Taste: Bread dominates the palate, otherwise this tastes pretty much like it smells. Corn, caramel malt, and a bit of alcohol. Your basic sweet lager flavor. This beer has no noticeable hop profile at all. It is refreshing enough - I could definitely enjoy this as a post lawn mowing beer.

Mouthfeel: Moderately carbed and medium bodied. Syrupy. Alcohol is nicely hidden, but I'm guessing this is probably no more than 6%.

Drinkability: Moderate. It goes down quite easy, but the flavor starts to wear at me after half the glass. Best drank cold, and the 24oz can makes that a challenge.

Overall: I've had a lot better, but I've also had more than a few worse. I could deal with this if it were my only option at a party, but not sure I'd ever go buy this for myself. The style in general is not my cup of tea, but I don't see where this is any worse than others of the style that I've had.

Orangey color. Leaves a sweet taste in your mouth. Great beer if you're wanting to really "get your drank on", because it goes down REALLY well. Blink and you'll be finishing your 6, blink twice and you'll be stumbling off to bed.

Great beer for the price, as long as you have a morning to give up, because you're not going to quit drinking it until it's gone the evening before.

Amber color with some hint of orange. White head quickly retreats to a thin lace. Smell is caramel malt with no hops aroma at all. The taste is caramel and grains with minimal bitterness. The finish is slightly sweet. Mouth feel is very smooth and the carbonation quite subtle. Overall this is a nice easy to drink beer that is certainly worth a try.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a 16 oz. pint glass.

Appearance: Clear dark orange to light amber body. Needed to pour vigorously to achieve a 1 finger white head. Decent carbonation. Looks pretty good. 4.

Smell: Caramel. Slight roasted malt with a bready, saltine cracker-like smell. Slight smell of alcohol and a strange iron-like metallic aroma. 3.25.

Taste: Sweet bready malt and caramel flavors. Small amount of hop flavor on the finish. The metallic taste sticks around a bit. Little aftertaste. 3.5.

Feel: Light to medium mouthfeel. Slightly sweet. 3.5

Overall: A fine sessionable beer by a local brewery. Not a bad drinking beer, but nothing to write home about. About on par, both pricewise and tastewise with Yuengling.

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a vintage Schlitz logo glass. Dark amber in color, with a two-finger white head that settled without a trace. Big aromas and flavors of roasted malt, caramel, and dark bread. Quite a bit of sweetness on the palate, not much bitterness. The mouthfeel is a tad watery, and the finish is surprisingly dry. Overall, this is a pretty good beer.
