Vibe is the primary reason to go here, especially in the summer when you can sit outside in the courtyard. That said, the tiki bar, woodshop, and tavern are all have a lot of character on their own.

Average selection of beers. Quality of beers have typically been average as well (for this area).

I've had mixed experiences with food and service, especially at the woodshop. Tavern on the square has always been excellent for both (but costs a bit more).

Several cool themed mini bars all in the same compound, my favorite being the Lagoon tiki bar. Pretty cool theater bar too.

Of course they offer a fairly large collection of their house brews, most of which are decent to pretty good. The gift shop also has their house brews canned in packs for those on the go. They also have cans from several quality craft brewers as well, but they are fairly over priced compared to bottle shops.

Service was pretty good, but they don't seem very enthusiastic while on the job, it was hard to get a smile out of most of the staff.

Food was decent but the portions are really small and very over priced, their cajun tater tots were tasty, but not $11.50 for a appetizer plate tasty.

All in all, not a great place. Basically seems to be set up for yuppies that are willing to pay excessive prices purely for the atmosphere. No plans on going back any time soon, a shame because this place is literally about a mile from my house.

How cool is it to catch a movie in a smaller theater, and enjoy it with a burger and pint (or three)!!!

One of my fav places to catch a movie, as the theater is typically not crowded + the sound is excellent + the atmosphere is cozy + draft beer is right outside in the lobby anytime you want to grab one + food is delivered to your seat

The Anderson School is a huge facility. There's a hotel, movie theater, event venue and, of course, brewery & pub. The main pub is called the Wood Shop and, like a lot of McMenamins, is decked out in sumptuous dark wood and classic barroom decor. This place also has several pool tables and shuffleboard tables and a massive amount of outdoor seating complete with fire pits. It's pretty awesome.

The beers I had here were pretty decent; there were about a dozen available including both seasonal/rotating offerings as well as the standard McMenamins flagship beers. Service was good; standard bar-type service but very friendly. As for food, I had the Irish Reuben which was decent enough.

From a beer standpoint, Anderson School is pretty much like any other McMenamins. But it is a darn cool place to hang out.
