De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Agradables notas a avellas bien integradas, con ligero perfil lactico y un cuerpo muy suave que oculta el abv totalmente. 1 mes tras FCP. Abv impercetible

Surprised to find this beer on tap in the US, at the mighty Max's Taphouse in Baltimore MD.
Disclosure: created and brewed by a friend of mine from Spain while he was a brewer at MAD Brewing. But regardless of the connection, this is a delicious dessert/pastry beer, basically liquid Nutella (or "Nocilla" as it is called in Spain). Hazelnuts, chocolate, some coffee and even hints of smoke... rich and well rounded. I had a five ounce pour and could have had another five!

This one was kind of a let down as I was expecting a big dessert imperial stout. It's sweet alright, you get the hazelnuts and a bit of cocoa but it lacks some guts.
It pours a pitch black body, no head.
Smell of nutty chocolate.
Taste of hazelnut and some roasted notes.
The mouthfeel is thin and well carbonated.
Overall an okay double stout but really nothing over the top

Great beer of a style that is not my favorite. Really, for a while in Spain, it is beginning to make good beer. Before there was nothing, it was a brewery desert. This is a good example that some Spaniards can also make good beer. Yes, in collaboration with the brewery La Guineu!
