A deep copper-colored medium-bodied ale. It's fresh flavor is smooth and carefully balanced with a nice mellowness and hint of caramel malt balanced by medium hop bitterness. It is an all malt beer that is naturally carbonated. It is very drinkable in it's own and pairs well with all kinds of steaks, chops, roasted meats and spicy foods.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
L- Pours a clear, copper amber color with an off-white sudsy head that dissipates quickly and leaves almost no lacing.
S- Caramel, vanilla, earthy malt, spice, raisin, a little bit of citrus rind but mostly on the malty side
T- Follows the nose with bready malt and caramel/honey sweetness up front, a little bit of hops and cinnamon spice in the middle, not overly sweet as I’d expected
F- Lighter bodied, light-to-moderate carbonation, finishes smooth and clean, very drinkable almost at lager-level
O- A good, balanced amber from a good AZ brewery. After drinking exclusively IPAs the last couple years it was interesting to back to an amber. I appreciate the malty sweetness balanced with a bit of spice and hops. Will try again.

Perfect Amber Ale in my book.
It's interesting looking at https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/top-styles/128/ compared to https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/top-styles/116/
Notice the top average scores for each style ? IPA has way more higher average ratings compared to Amber Ale. I'm sure other styles average much more than Amber Ale too.
Amber ale is an often overlooked style in my opinion and I've drank a lot of them in my day. I could drink this all night, and I have. Cheers to the brew who created this perfect style brew.

Another old review from back in the day finally getting uploaded.
Amber ale pours an amber color, leaning to the darker side of amber, but still rocking some good looking clarity to it, light tan head around 4/5". Aroma of that red malt earthiness with dirty/earthy unsweetened caramel notes.
Taste is mellow, smooth, low hopping low alpha acid bittering. Falls into the fat tire niche. Mild bready presence, like that honey top stuff. More hints of citrus a la orange/grapefruit and nuts. Carbonation is up there. I could see this being preferred after sunset when you want a little more substance but you're also not looking to go into sludge territory with it still being quite warm after the sun goes down. Scoring beers like these can be a struggle when they do nothing wrong, prolly hitting the stride they were going for, but being one of those style of beers that rarely gets me excited.

Dark copper colored body; one-finger thick, creamy head. Caramel and honey aroma. Honey and toasted grain flavor; mild hop bitterness. Medium body; a little glassy; warm; some residual sugar sweetness yet still finishes dry overall.
A solid, decent tasting malt-forward beer.
