This was my second visit to Oak Creek Brewery and Grill over the course of ~10 years. Stopped in with my wife and 10-month-old daughter after a half day of seeing the sights in wonderful Sedona. We actually tried to hit the brewery but it was not open until 4pm and I didn't want to sit around for 30 minutes when we had Flagstaff on the agenda for later and a baby to get to sleep.

Oak Creek is on the second floor and we saw some or all of the brewing equipment through an open door on our way up. We sat in the dining area right by the small outdoor porch. Ordered the seven dwarfs sampler which was seven five ounce samples for $11.95. Pints were $5.75.

Micro light - American pilsner with noble hopping. Slight buttery flavor and a touch of sweetness on the finish
Forty-Niner Gold Lager - clean and crisp, a good lager, nothing too flavorfull
Hefe - 03 GABF gold. I enjoyed the rich flavor but my wife, a hefe fan, did not care for it.
Pale Ale - 05 GABF silver - Centennial and Cascade. Nice hop flavor but buttery off flavor.
Amber - smooth rich and drinkable
Brown - nutty flavor which masked a hint of buttery flavor
Porter depth and roasty - the best of the bunch

Overall I was mixed on the beers and really would have preferred to visit the brewery for what I understand are more unique brews.

We were rained out for our single day at Sedona, so we did a late lunch. Oak Creek is a very good place to spend a rainy afternoon or any afternoon for that matter. Clean, nicely appointed. We did burgers and salads and all were very well commented on. I did the Seven Dwarfs beer sampler (featuring the seven beers they had on tap) and they all were very good. The porter and nut brown ale were my favorites. Excellent place, recommended if in Sedona.

Went here for my birthday! Ordered the flight so I could sample as many brews as possible. Enjoyed each of the beers. Wish the samples were a little bigger but the presentation is pretty cool as they come in mini steins. Will return if I am ever in the area again! It was very crowded but we did not have to wait long!

Decent enough beer, the porter was probably the nicest of those available. Service was a bit sketchy and the food was not memorable. Possibly the biggest issue for me was the number of children present in this establishment. It lost a great deal of atmosphere because of the yelling and loud kids.

We are "locals" - - living in Munds Park (just 14-miles up Schnebley Hill) during the summer. The Oak Creek Brewery And Grill is nice but styled more for the tourist trade. If you just want to get a good Craft Beer in Sedona, then go to the Oak Creek Brewery Co. tap room(2050 Yavapai Drive). This is the actual brewery, located is a small industrial area in west Sedona. No food, other than popcorn, nuts and perhaps hot dogs. There is live music some evenings and weekends. Great place to enjoy a brew in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Staying in Sedona for the night, t looked like my options were fairly limited, so I gave it a whirl.

The brewpub was attached to some sort of resort or shopping mall. It actually is tagged as Red Rock BBQ on Google maps, so I had a few minutes of trouble finding it sitting in the lot of the real location of Red Rock BBQ.

Pulled up a chair at the bar to watch game 6. After a few minutes, met by a middle aged lady to take my order. Service was pretty luckluster as I sat beeless for a good 10 minutes when I finished my first beer. That type of service continued all night.

Ordered the bbq chicken, which was actually pretty good. One of the few non-red meat meals available. The food was expensive in my opinion and the menu, small.

Ordered a pale ale and a Snakecharmer IPA. The server indicated the IPA was seasonal - hmmm? Both were ok, nothing stellar. The hops aroma and flavor seemed a little muted in both, as if they were not the freshest things in the world.

The only beer glasses they served in were pilsner glasses, which is a major turnoff for me. I just dont understand why a microbrewer cant use approriate glassware - petty? probably, but it just irks me.

Overall, not bad food and a place to avoid BMC while in Sedona.

I am finishing up a week's stay in Sedona and have visited Oak Creek twice now for diner and have been satisfied but not blown away. It is easy to find and had a basic but workable interior on the second floor of an outdoor mall.

Seven beers on tap is the norm and the Indian Pale Ale is highly drinkable. The food selection is basic but good quality. The Wicked Pickles are a strong choice as an appetizer. I found the service good but not real beer-centric for a brewpub but that could just be the tourist atmosphere of Sedona taking over. I don't think they get too many beer nerds in here.

I think the beer and food is overpriced, even for a beautiful but bonified tourist trap in Sedona. Worth a shot if in the area but this is definitely not one of the many reasons to come here.

Imagine a fairly nice diner with Oak Creek beers. Food was pretty good and a bit pricey. My smokey mountain burger was decent but overpriced. The service was also diner like...it definitely felt like we had a food server more than a person who knew anything about beer taking care of us. While the booth seat was very comfortable, the Oak Creek Brewery (other location) was much more my speed. The place is run by a German family and the menu sometimes reflects that (more so in the beer department but still some German food dishes are available). This location had less than 1/2 the Oak Creek beers available at the brewery location. The restaurant is fairly centrally located and easy to find.

My wife and I went to Sedona for a week and of course we had to go to the brewpub. For anyone who hasn't been to Sedona it is one of the most beautiful places in the world, tall red canyons, picturesque mountains, etc.

The place has a real pub feel, many seats by the windows with amazing views.

I had the sample, which included a light lager, a wheat, pale, amber, nut brown and a porter. All were typical but none were really outstanding. I think I liked the amber and wheat best. Also the nut brown is great for those who like that style.

Food was pretty good. we had the pretzels with a cheese dipping sauce and I had the wurst. Both were ok, not great but good. I hear the crabcakes are good but we weren't in the mood.

There was a very large group of non english speaking Japanese so the service suffered as a result.

In general I would recommend this place as it's the only one of this type in the area.

Since it's in Sedona it is a bit upscale but it was still family-friendly as well as beer geek friendly. In the mens room is a poster of a bulldog with a milk mustache that reads, "Had milk...want beer." Amen puppy, amen!

The place is busy, but the wait wasn't long to be seated. We went there twice for dinner. We waited to be seated the first time and the waitress had a little time to talk to us. The second time there was no wait, but the waitress seemed very rushed, but remained attentive to our needs. Maybe she wasn't as friendly as the first one or maybe they were short-handed...who knows? But overall they're pretty good for such a busy and popular place. I can't imagine this place in the summer since it was that busy in November.

The food is really good and you must get the soft pretzel with beer-infused cheese fondue for an appetizer. Their pizza is really good and the best I've had outside the Greater New York Metropolitan Area. The Meat Lovers' has bratwurst and Canadian bacon on it! How can you go wrong? The Dudley Do-Right also has Canadian bacon, but it's topped with dollops of ricotta, roasted garlic and fresh basil...one winning combination.

The beer is the highlight though. Always try their seasonal. I was so impressed one of the year-'rounds (Amber) that I didn't try the seasonal the first visit. I did on the second visit and was blown away by the American-Style Wheat with Mandarin and Vanilla. Read my review of it to get an idea what it was all about. The Pullman Porter and the Oak Creek Village Nut Brown Ale were also very good, but the Hefeweizen was lacking as I've found is prevalent amongst hefes brewed on the left side of the country.

You're in Sedona to expect to pay a little more, but it's worth the experience and the beer. Oh, to save money, split a pizza, they're enough for two decent-sized guys or three lighter eaters.

It is not the easiest place to find unless you catch the sign on the wall for Tlaquepaque. It's in the Tlaquepaque shopping area, which has limited parking. Be forewarned that the turns are tight so RVs and larger pick-ups will have trouble navigating and parking.
