Straw yellow with nice creamy white head, dissipates quick and leaves mild lacing.Nose is grains, wet grass with sour notes in there.Taste was rather pleasant, same as the nose but going down rather refreshing with a creamy feel to it,dry finish with a mild hint of bitterness, not bad at all for a macro beer, don't notice the higher abv at all, medium to lite body, could down a few of these.

355ml can. So many latent hockey memories being dragged to the surface by the scratched ice imagery of the label...

This beer pours a clear, medium golden straw colour, with two fat fingers of thin puffy white head, which leaves a single raised island archway of lace on one side of the glass as it readily abates. It smells of sweet creamed corn, a bit of virtuous grain, mild diacetyl, some expired fruit esters, and softly underwhelming earthy hops. So far, very much the classy malt liquor. The taste is more neutral grain, less corn and rice, but still balanced fairly amongst them all, a slightly acrid edge that has to be the booze, and a tiny drying note that may just be the ghost of hops past. Yup, posh malt liquor. The carbonation is a bit zingy, and on the nose, but generally inoffensive, the body medium-light, a bit fruity in its bearing, and smooth enough, the lingering cloyingness kept well back. It finishes drier than anticipated, a little warm, with a low-profile mustiness.

Style firmly in mind, I can't say that this is all that bad. It's pretty much Canadian with a little extra muscle, and sweetness, but without the extra skank.

Finale from the mixed pack. Never knew they made an ice version of this. Had the original plenty of times though I haven't seen it in quite some time..but maybe that's because I haven't looked for it considering High Life is always my go to cheapy. The word " Ice " I almost always another way to say " hangover imminent ". Lets do it.

Looks the part. Clear yellow, big white eggshell head with a shit load of carbonation. Nothing left after a finished glass.

Chemical comes to mind on the nose with fair hints of alcohol. Adjuncts are all there as expected. Creamed corn dominant.

Taste luckily loses the chemical factor. Thank Satan, thought this was about to be another Labatt maximum Ice disaster ( The worst disaster since 9/11 ). Adjuncts amp up, hillybilly asshole level corniness.

Feel is rather sticky, sweet and corny with a super level of carbonation. Swallows with a shallow alcoholic bite and leave your mouth dry as a transexuals vagina.

Overall it's pretty average. The scent is a throw off, the feel is a bit odd but otherwise it's just your standard run of the mill brew. Probably not worth the imminent hangover.
