(12 oz green bottle, best by NOV2816... poured into a fluted goblet)

L: crystal-clear, yellow-gold liquid with a two-finger high, crackily sponge of white suds, which deflates rather rapidly... I love how the label says "specially brewed for the unique flavour of an ale and a lager" - leading, expectations... hey, a little spit of lace...

S: semi-toasty, malty underbelly with mildly-spicy phenol sprinkled atop... vague scent of old, dried-out lemon peel and essence of perfumy flower... overall smell is not that powerful or dynamic... doesn't seemed skunked surprisingly

T: lightly-toasty cereal malt with a touch of doughiness in the finish and aftertaste... bitterness is somewhat low, hops a bit grassy or green-stem-like... this is mostly about the malt, which is lovely for what it is, but overall the flavors are a bit rough and blurred... little (residual) sweetness, though a nip of toasty melanoidin lingers

F: light-medium bodied, vague sense of viscosity flowing back... finish is a bit flat and dry... slight build of warmth as you go along... it drinks almost like a malt liquor, perhaps showing mild signs of some of the syrupy trails I get with a few brands

O: it has to have been about 20 years since I last had this - bit of a rut with the finances at the moment, thought it would be a fun novelty to revisit something from the past, and at $6.49 a sixer, how could I say no?... drank one right from the bottle the other day, and boy did it take me back to all those times hanging in the woods, building bonfires, getting toasty, running from cops... this ain't all that bad, and it leaves me wondering if it may be a watered-down version of any of their malt liquors... can't remember which I preferred more, this or Molson Ice - guess I gotta find out

Probably the best from the Molson lineup, it's nothing special. Smooth and flavorful for a lager, medium gold in color. Smells of skunk and pure barley. Tastes like lager with some extra malty goodness, very lightly hopped with a slightly sour aftertaste. I'm never going to turn one down.

GLASSIC. MACRO DELICIOUSNESS. SUMMERS ON A FISHING DOCK. WINTERS ON A FROZEN POND. FALL ON TOP OF MT. WASHINGTON (THAT'S NH FOR ALL YOU CANNUCKS). NOT A SPRING BEER. WHOLESOME MOUTHFEEL, WITH TONS OF TINY BUBBLES. SMOOTH. DELICIOUS. PRINCE.

12 ounce can poured into a 20 ounce clear plastic cup. Booming white head that dissipates quickly, Very light straw in color. Smells of corn, grains, faint hops. Taste follows the nose. Very good carb, and very clean and crisp on the finish. very refreshing. I could probably pound down a sixer of this in no time on a hot summer day. Overall, it's one of the better adjunct lagers I've had. It also reminded me a little of the Czech Pilsner style. 18 pack was $16.99

Yellow beer, that didn't produce any head over 1/8" and that was gone before you could even greet it with a sniff. Aroma was corn sweetness, some skunking, but an appreciable amount.

Mild bitterness, metallic, corny, tons of carbonation. Not much in the way of malt though. Hot weather beer only I'd say, I dunno how this is drank so much around hockey games unless you're the one playing and sweating.

The look is average straw yellow. With limited head and lacing.

The smell isn't much to speak of, grains and a little bit of corn.

The taste is the best part about this beer. This is an balanced lager with a nice green apple hop bite and some grains. Not overly sweet or bitter very balanced.

Overall, one of the best adjunct lagers out there or American Pale Lager. Limited adjunct and a surprising bite and drinkability. Recommended if you want a macro lager.

Maybe I got a bad batch, but this resembled hemlock to me.

This was a pretty decent beer with a good taste. Pours a nice golden yellow with a relatively foamy head. It smells of sour grain. Has a sour corn/grain and malt aftertaste. The level of carbonation seemed to be a bit more than others, but regardless it's a pretty solid beer to drink.

To be fair, I didn't realize it was a pale when I picked it up. When I see the word "golden", I'm thinking something darker, with some aroma, a stronger flavour and a crisper finish. This boarderlines a light beer. This said, there's nothing otherwise wrong with it and likely fits a lot of people's definition of a good beer, but it's not exciting to me.
