The clear deep golden yellow colored beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1/2” white head that recedes slowly but visibly and leaves an ring of irregular patches of foam around the glass and a thin irregular island of foam on the surface. Eventually there are only a few patches of lacing on the sides. Sipping creates a couple of sheets of lacing that turn into small scattered patches of lacing that mostly recede to the surface of the liquid.

The aromas are mostly about the malt but there’s noticeable corn here as well. The hops are slightly grassy and in the background.

As expected from the nose, the flavors are mostly about the bready, crackery malt and corn sweetness. There’s also some grainy character from the corn and just a hint of grassy bitterness. The alcohol is noticeable but not unpleasant.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and crisp with the finely bubbled, moderate and persistent carbonation. The medium length finish begins as the malty, grainy sweetness begins to fade to a slightly grassy, almost bitter and semi-dry ending.

Keeping style in mind, this is a reasonably tasty and drinkable malt liquor with a moderately high ABV and easy to drink. That said I’ll not be seeking out more in the future but only because I prefer a bit more hop flavor and bitterness from the hops.

24 ounce can into lager glass, best before 6/18/2018. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light honey, nutty, corn, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with pale malt/grains and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light honey, nutty, corn, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light honey, nutty, corn, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt/grains and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Lightly increasing warmth of 7.3% after the finish. Overall this is a good malt liquor. All around nice robustness of pale malt/grains and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and easy to drink for the ABV. Very clean and rich barley flavor profile, with decent earthy hop balance. Not overdone on corn/adjuncts at all. Pretty similar to Regular and Ice, with more barley flavor and body as expected. A nicely enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

I'm partial I like a strong beer. But I also like a smooth taste this beer has both. But it is definitely not for everyone. One or two is all you need to enjoy yourself on a quiet night. Best cold or with ice in a cup

A great alternative to pilsners, from Northern Germany. Makes a great Radler too for light times and parties. I have already converted new beer lovers.

This is not a beer for the weak-palated. This is the beer for people who have ice water in their veins and spend their winters playing in a beer hockey league after hunting all weekend. That said, anyone from warmer climates aren't going to appreciate this beer for what it is. This beer is best enjoyed in sub-zero temperatures because it will be what keeps you warm. Think of this as the anti-Modelo.

Pours a nice golden color with a half finger of head that quickly recedes to nothing.
Smells of green apple, corn, booze, and light malt.
Taste is rather sweet with the corn, followed by malt and possibly diacetyl, ending in some light, grassy hops.
Mouthfeel is that of a lager, almost creamy.
Overall, not bad, but a bit under the bar for my tastes. I much prefer Molson ice to this any day.

24oz can bb 10/16/17 poured into a half liter skate mug at fridge temp 7.3% ABV. The beer is golden straw yellow in color with off white sticky head. It is leaving some lacing. Smells a little sweet and maybe musty? Taste is sweet with a little counteracting bitterness at the end. Noticeable alcohol as it warms. There is a barely perceptible hint of the AAL aftertaste but it's largely defect free. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slick and strongly carbonated. Overall, good. When you buy a 24 oz can of 7.3% malt liquor, you know what you're going to get. This is done mostly without flaws.
