Their is a reason this is the #1 beer of men’s old timer “Puffer” hockey, finishing just ahead of Blue Light! Some nights they are tied, and some nights Blue Light wins.
90 % of OV is brewed in small batches and shipped off to rural Ontario where it sits gathering dust before being lovingly scooped up by hockey teams. Viva OV!

When I was a kid a lot of the dads drank this beer and us kids would quite often steal a swig when backs were turned. The can is rather attractive with the knight and ov shield but the beer is not the greatest. It’s a chore to drink more then 2 of these as I feel they taste worse with the more you have. Mostly malt with slight bitter after taste. Almost no head on this either. Once in a while I’ll pick one of these to give it another try but always come to the same conclusion. There are better beers at the same or lower price.

I finally bought a can of Ov by Molson .
473ml at 5%.
poured a 2finger head into glass that quickly evaporated but left a lace as you are drinking golden color with good carbonation.
taste is a little sweet mild bitterness makes it easy to drink
overall it's ok an average beer.

I find this beer very appealing. From the initial pour, with a head of foam, to the lacing it leaves on the glass. I also like the touch of dryness on the finish. Has a nice malty taste that goes down easy. This is an old time beer that has an interesting history, as it was first produced in the U.S before coming to Canada over a century ago. This is a beer that I can enjoy drinking from the bottle, or a glass. It is delicious. The taste is on the light side, but very thirst quenching on a hot day or any day for that matter.

Old Vienna by Molson. 5% alc.
This beer has a thick and creamy head. The beer is standard golden colour and very clear.
Smell is white bread, barley malt, and a slight sweetness.
Taste is grain, biscuit, and some hops to give it a subtle bitter note.
The beer is light to medium body and the mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Finish is crisp and dry.
Nice glass lacing on this.
For a macro lager this is exceptional taste and value.
If you are open-minded, enjoy good, traditional-style macro lager, I recommend trying this.
Grade: A.

Not being from Canada and generally a fan of Molson products, I was excited when on a Canadian fishing trip our outfitter offered us a case of “OV.” I see why it is not found in the states. I hesitated to even marinate our sausages in it. I quickly turned to hard booze as this became the last beer remaining.

I remember buying these in what we used to call "splits", a 7 oz. bottle. A friend of mine and I drank an entire case of them in one night back in 1980 or so and we thought it was great beer. I've seen 12 packs of bottles (12 oz.) from time to time and I'd buy them, but I came across a case of 12 oz. cans this weekend and scooped it up @ $13.99. A great value in my opinion. One of the best "cheapo" beers around and is a hell of a lot better than PBR.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a straw like color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of mild grains. Taste is malts, grains, some metallic notes at the finish. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is not bad at this price point, but drinks more like a Pale Lager than a Vienna.

Simple, better-than-Canadian corn beer. Reminds me of my childhood. This was dad's swill of choice for a number of years.

Availability in Rochester NY is spotty, but a few places have it in 12-pack bottles. My favorite light macrobrew. Extremely well balanced. Clean, crisp, mild flavor. I always look for it on the first hot days of the year because of how refreshing it is. Nice label design too.
