I was out returning empties, and got $2
back from deposit, I figured I could afford one of these tallboys, and here I sit pouring it into my pint glass.

Appearance - A pale golden/yellow colour, with a fizzy white head that stuck around for about half a minute.

Smell - not too much here, a bit of grassiness, some grains, that was about it.

Taste - Again, not too much, I had some grain flavours, following into a really weird flavour I've been noticing in such similar beers as Budweiser and Steeler, I imagine it comes from the rice or perhaps another adjunct. No hops that I could detect, but they could be there.

Mouthfeel: Rather light - not quite watery though, with some decent level of carbonation for the style.

Overall Impressions: This is an adjunct lager, furthermore a budget one. The average person who would pick this up and buy it regularly is not the average person on this website. I've been finding that some of these lagers have a funny flavour to them that I just can't stand. I imagine this flavour is due to the adjuncts in them. This beer had that flavour, it had more of it than budweiser, but certainly less of it than steeler. In all, the beer isn't bad for the style - pale, watery, adjunct-y and generally bland and inoffensive, and I think for the most part it has acheived those goals other than that odd off flavour.

Appearance: Pretty decent for this style. Straw yellow with some good foam. Kind of flat though, but the lacing is ok. Flatens out right away.

Smell: Dry, stale hops. Not too much sweetness.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Dryness balanced with seltzer carbonation. A mild hops taste as well. This is not bad at all.

Drinkability: Nothing special to wanna drink, but it does the job.

Overall: I've been looking for this for years. It's basically been the Holy Grail in that sense. Easily the best Keystone.

appearance: yellow. clear. normal carb. small one inch head. didnt last but it was there for long enough to be mentioned..zero lacing.
smell: clean. slight clue of corn. clean, not much to be said. very simple.
taste: clean. almost too clean. a basic staple. nothing past a simple beer.
wish there was more i could say, but it reminds me of how a "party beer" should be.
nothing too amazing, but then again, why fix what isnt broken.
mouthfeel: clean. bubbley. hardly any sharpness or dryness to this.
finish is basically the same as it starts. good session brew. goes down easy.
overall: if iam looking for something i can drink alot of, this might be a good choice
its damn cheap, and not as weak flavoured as some others similar adjuncts (pbr is comparable but slightly more malty)..id drink this at a house party because people are less likley to ask for freebies if they think it's swill. which it definatly isnt..its not interesting. but its refreshing, and somewhat crisp. not filling. which is great for having numerous. if you want the meat and potatoes look elsewhere.. but if its simple drinkable afforable beer with basic qualities. you could do so much worse.

My friend at the Coors brewery in VA sent me a case of this so I gave it a shot.

It does not smell good, but actually tastes surprisingly ok, I was expecting a horrid taste and mouth feel and this beer was the usual carbonated, smooth taste. Very light, and nothing complex, in fact this beer makes Coors Light seem complex.

This beer will get you drunk, and you can drink it all day for cheap, would drink again especially if free.

Serving Type: 341 mL Bottle

A- Pours a decent enough looking Golden liquid with a sudsy 1 finger white head that dissipates quickly. Minimal lacing.

S- Sour Apples and Light grain flavours.

T- Distinct flavour of apples and other odd fruit (even vegetable) notes. Not tasteful in any way.

M- Light body and moderately high (prickly) carbonation.

O- While not the worst beer I've ever had, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to buy Keystone. Sure, it's drinkable, but that's the only compliment I really have for it.

I did not know this beer existed until about 30 minutes ago. My cousin came over, handed me a beer. Pours a clear straw-yellow colour with almost zero head. Smells grainy and of mild vegetables. No real hops or bitterness at all. Flavour is very mild, a little bit sweet. Smooth mouthfeel. I could see the appeal in drinking a dozen of these in a night in that it is relatively inoffensive and is smooth.

A very plain-Jane beer. Unremarkable beyond the little bit of sparkle you get from the carbonation.

Pours a moderate soapy white head over a pale golden yellow brew. The head dissipates very quickly and leaves absolutely nothing. Smell is corn and a whiff of lemon tartness, light malts. Mouthfeel is thin and insubstantial with some bite from the carbonation. Slightly metallic, some corn to taste, but really quite watery and flavourless.

Unoffensive, unmemorable. The kind of thing you could probably pound back a zillion of on a hot summer day and not be seriously punished for it. Meh.
