An 'Ice brewed' beer which has a clean, fresh, snappy taste and a mellow aftertaste from the ice - filtering process.

This is one of those beers to just shotgun. Do not try to savour the taste, because there is nothing to savour. One of the choice beers for 18-20 years. That says something. 4 Smirnoff Ices/10

Beer 1 of the Parkdale Beer Festival 2019. Thanks Josh! Review from notes.

Appearance - Clear golden color with decent white head. Ok retention after and aggressive pour.

Smell - Not a lot, some faint grainy notes, a touch of sweetness.

Taste - Not much flavor, a bit of grainy notes, ABV well hidden and nothing off-putting. Better than it gets credit for.

Mouthfeel - Medium boided, aggressive carbonation. Goes down just fine when ice cold.

Overall - A funny beer to open with, but was better than expected. Woudn't buy this on my own, but a gentle reminder that not all the "Ice" beers are terrible.

Happy CANada Day, hosers! Take off, eh? This is one of my FAVORITE holidays of the year since it provides me with the impetus to a) drink CANned CANadian beer ISO The CANQuest (tm); b) watch hockey (either pre-recorded games or movies, like "Slapshot"; c) watch "Strange Brew"; d) eat some beaver & e) parade nekkid in the street while waving a CANdian flag. 2017 was their 150th Anniversary so I pulled out all of the stops, using sparklers & firecrackers as accoutrements, which was attention-getting, to say the least. The local CANstabulary was bemused & amused as they led me away, but I was less-than-thrilled with the 1st & 2nd degree burns, especially to my sensitive bits! Needless to say, I have scaled back since then.

A BIG "THANK YOU!" to my local, in-person trading partner, @tone77 , for providing me with a buncha beers for today's CANebration! He said that many of them will take me back to the early days of The CANQuest (tm), when AALs were the standard & the norm. No matter! Today, we CANebrate & inebriate! Cheers to our CANuck neighbors!

I had "O CANada" playing on YouTube as I Crack!ed open the vent to begin this momentous CANebration. Ooh, 710-ml for me! Good thing I'm getting it FROM the CAN as opposed to taking it IN the CAN! I feel a CANaian-side Niagara Falls-like Glug CANming on! Oooh, I CAN't CANtrol it or myself! This rapturous moment resulted in nearly three fingers of fizzy, foamy, rocky, bone-white head that suddenly exhaled and laid back, spent & exhausted. Wow! Color was sadly not Black, but instead a pretty CANadian Yellow-Gold with NE-quality clarity. A CANadian transplant to Nebraska?!? She told me that she is an exchange hockey student at U of NE, but before we could CANtinue our CANversation, The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Mammon & Midas burst in, ClANmoring for a taste. She was MUCH more generous than I would have been, bestowing a kiss (of the hops Sorry, wrong beer) on each of them as she sent them on their merry way. We were about to get merry ourselves, but first, a sniff of the nose. Odd, sweetish (towards bubble gum, suggestive of tired yeast), but not as corny as my jokes nor as unpleasant, either, Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium, about on par for the style. The taste was odd - semi-sweet but not weighed down with adjuncts and especially not corn. It had a really drying quality in the mouth, as though the yeast had really done its/their job in sugar CANversion. Finish was likewise crisp and dry, although not as "clean" as the CANmercial Description would indicate. Here's the rub/drawback - it was TOO dry! By the time that I finished with the 710-ml cylinder full of beer, I was satiated! Maybe that's their idea, but how are you going to stay in business with one & dones? Not bad, not great, but definitely palate-cleansing & definitely drying! YMMV, but Happy CANada Day all the same.

This beer is sent straight from Satan’s tombstone. It is so greasy that digger would not even bury it. I purchased this beer many times for a very cheap price, because I was so broke that I could not afford a decent tasting beer. After drinking this beer I stunk so fucking bad that my whole bedroom smelled like a bums den. My mom even commented on the stench coming from the cavern I slept in. Do not buy this beer unless you are close to having a negative balance in your bank account or u r depressed. Thank u.

Poured from a 24 oz. can. Has a straw color with a 1/2 inch head and lots of carbonation. Smell is of corn, metals. Taste is full of metallic twang, grains, a touch of sour notes, I feel fortunate to have a whole 24 oz. serving to sample. Feels light bodied in the mouth and overall is slightly better than a Minhas beer. Slightly.

Not bad, but not great either. Quite carbonated so not so easy to chain drink.
It's not very expensive and has a better kick than your average Molson's.

Not bad, most cheap beers have a burnt hair aftertaste, this doesn't. If you want bang for your buck give this a try, trust me, you could do much worse.
