Surprised this isn't on BA. The proliferation of various Molson products and their variations astounds me since they are all cut from the some cloth. Oh well...

Poured from a 341ml. bottle.

Pours the typical pale yellow body, nice white head, too bad it really doesn't stay around long. Not much on the nose, the taste is neutral and tolerable with an actual graininess somewhere beneath the blandness. Better than Molson Dry that gives me headaches.

I haven't seen Carling Black Label since I was a child when my neighbors would buy it in 40s and pour salt to kill the head. Of course this is the "Dry" version and I highly doubt that it's anything like the Carling of old.

Pours a clean golden yellow with a one-finger head into my glass. So clean that you can't see any thing else.

Not as "adjuncty" as I was expecting in the nose. Sweet. Creamy. "Dry" is another term that comes to mind, naturally.

Not much to taste. Lightly sweet and dry with a buttery finish at the back of the throat.

Finishes very dry. Almost strong enough to burn the taste buds.

I wasn't missing out on much growing up. This beer is TOO dry. Perhaps the salt added flavor as well?

Light body, pale golden colour. Pours a thick white head, but no retention, and no lacing.
Not bitter, lowly malted, more alcohol than its regular 'undry' cousin.
Sweetish, better flavour than the regular version. Dry finish as advertised.
But a definite, if short-lived, solvent aftertaste. Hard to recommend except to the hardy. MIxed 1:1 with regular Black Label, you have an acceptable 5.4% ABV macro.
They don't even sell this version in Ontario's TheBeerStore, owned by Molson itself, in the headquarters home territory, all of which which tells you how much of a hard sell it is.

nothing particularly off, unpleasant, or gross about this brew, its just that its so painfully boring. pours a well carbonated and creamy looking clear yellow color with a massive white head, made even larger by an aggressive pour into a Budweiser glass. the nose is granular, cereal first, light pils style malts, not as extract forward as I thought it would be. carbonation tickles my nose, and a slight alcoholic hint rises up. the flavor is the same, real light on the malt flavor, and no hops hardly at all. it just tastes like beer, nothing to it worth noting, except a mild alcohol kick as it warms. super quick dry finish, I guess this is canadas answer to bud light platinum? a flavorless higher alcohol dry beer. this is better than that, but still unremarkable in many ways. light body, intense carbonation, strong and generating an uncomfortable cheap beer buzz. don't hate it, but don't care for another one anytime soon.
