Very clean, brilliant ale with noble hop flavor and aroma.

Pilsner & Maris Otter comprise the majority of the malt and German Perle & Hersbrucker add the right amount of floral, perfumy hoppiness.

Very clear, not super carbonated. Bready flavors from the malt I assume. Has a lemon after taste. Refreshing beer. I would drink this after a round of golf.

12 oz. can poured into "craft beer glass" (wide-mouthed stick); 5.5% ABV printed on can ... not sure if the ABV changes with each batch?
(April 24, 2017 born-on date I think — "17114" sticker label on six-pack ring)

L: clear yellow, pale, pushes up about 3/4-inch head of quickly vanishing head, no sticking, no lacing; keeps a loose, big-bubbled collar and piece of skin; does have sediment at bottom of can that will cloud up the brew in the glass; shows almost no activity in glass, less than 10 bubbles rising at any given time

S: sweet bread malt, light peach/apricot ... surprisingly sweet; a little black pepper hoppiness under the sweet malt

T: slight creamed corn, grain, black pepper/earthy hop bite (especially in the aftertaste); plenty of malt, fluctuating between creamed corn and a nice bread-dough flavor; big swallows can get a bit medicinal

F: light, slightly slick, carbonation is decent after medium-hard pour

O: solid all-around, feels like it will turn into a mushy creamed corn bomb with too much age, but the earthy/spicy hop bite is holding up fairly well and tasty enough that I'll reach for this one again if I can find it fresh (about two weeks old); hard to say how much different this one is from BWD's first kolsch, but it seems a tad better ... a little less medicinal than the College Station Kolsch, as I recall; encouraging seeing BWD better dial in a nuanced, tough-to-nail style

Got it on draft into a pint glass. Nice clear yellow color with decent head and lacing. Clean grassy smell, slightly ready and sweet. The taste in crisp and nicely sweet and floral. An enjoyable hot weather beer for summer in Texas.
