Totally underrated. A small seating space, but this is my favorite place for a beer north of Seattle. It's fantastic and not to be missed. I will be back anytime I'm in the area! Delicious brews.

So excited about this place after my first few visits. Some outstanding Belgian styles, mixed in with interesting IPA's and stouts. Tiny space, but cozy. Unfortunately, the beers have trended more narrowly towards IPA's that have less and less to distinguish one from another, unless you like raspberries thrown in, which for me, ruined the best of their IPAs. Solid saisons, some of which truly benefit from their barrel aging. One of the best straight-ahead imperial stouts I've ever had was sadly discontinued and replaced by one which is overpowered with coffee and chocolate additions. My sense is that, rather than constant experimentation, they would do well to well to take lessons from Bellingham's Wander Brewing and develop a stable of great consistent beers, supplemented with smaller selection of rotating edginess.

Also troubling is Structure's practice of continuously blaring punk rock into the small space. Very difficult to hold a conversation, and irritating to those of us for whom this genre isn't at the top of our list. Service can feel a little surly at times.

My sense is that Structures has decided to focus fairly narrowly on a specific younger age-group, which is perhaps good for the short-term bottom line in this town.

All this would be worth the trouble for the the great beer lineup they opened with, but as that has changed, I find myself favoring other brewpubs in this city with so many good choices.

Easy to find little store front near Aslan. The space inside is pretty minimal with basic stools and a few small counter tops. Easy walk-up ordering of primarily saison beers but with some variety. Fuzz is a good ECIPA that is also their flagship. Server was pleasant and attentive too. Really enjoyed the beers.

Nice little location downtown with excellently made beers...try Juice on Juice, stouts, the super tasty Destroyer of Light and leave having found one of the best new breweries in B-ham. This is a spot for those who appreciate good beer and want to avoid the crowds.

The latest addition to The City of Subdued Excitements beer scene is a cozy little tasting room/brewery in downtown Bham. The small room, capacity around 40, makes nice use of the brick walls and repurposed wood. A couple of stand up tables, and a few smaller tables with are the limited seating. Once there's more than about 25 people in the place, things start to get a little snug.

The early beers have been pretty good. The Saison/Wild/Funky stuff has been very good, while the hoppier offerings aren't where they could be, yet. I don't think they're looking at having a "regular" line-up of beers, but making various brews as time and ingredients allow.

As of now only open Wed-Sat, 3-9pm. 21+ only. Cash only. No food.
