can dated 2/10/21; today is 4/9 - not exactly "fresh"

hops advertised are Mosaic, Citra, and Amarillo

pours a slightly hazy gold body with a cream colored frothy foam head that has moderate retention, peaking at just thicker than a finger and leaving a moderately high amount of thin sticky lacing behind as it slowly settles to a rocky halo

aroma is grapefruit, berry, melon, resinous pine, and mango with a sweet and bready malt backbone that truly balances the whole thing.

taste follows the nose but pushes citrus a little more forward, offering additional layers of lemon and orange. it's bready, slightly aggressive, with tropical and citrus leanings and an earthy, resinous evergreen hop finish. slightly more fruity West Coast nod, in essence.

mouthfeel: mid-level carbonation and body, with a slight lean more towards "watery" than "full" that finishes dry and has an earthy grapefruit aftertaste that feels more herbal as it warms

overall:
focusing on three classics (citra, amarillo, and mosaic) it's a solid, decent, impressive nod to the OG West Coast crew with a spike in tropical fruit interest. the balance offered by the bready and slightly sweet malt backbone helps pull the thing up into the upper echelons of hoppy greatness, creating a damn easy hop delight that is crazy consistent with an interesting complexity thanks to a solid landing in the use of Mosaic for it's berry notes. it's a Texas favorite that you shouldn't miss, and if you are particularly fond of Mosaic hops, this is a master class in how to use it to boost the profiles as a team member rather than hog the ball.

Poured an amber color with nice hoppy fragrant head. Tasted wheatie right up front and then the hop bitterness and it's a nice blend. This can dated 12/12 from a taproom in 16 ounce crowlers. The hop bitter crowd will enjoy this nice brew.
