Very hazy yellow gold body with white head. Lots of fruity aromas: pineapple, citrus, some pine. Taste was the same, with a noticeable earthy , dank hop bitterness. Nice body and carbonation for the style.

Talk about a *juicy* IPA! This is my favorite Spindletap beer, edging out Houston Haze. It is a milky orange/yellow with a creamy head. Grapefruit and pineapple dominate. Doesn't taste like a 8% ABV, but it feels like it afterwards. I'll take a megapint of this anytime!

A random pick at a taco place that turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Everything you might want in a ne ipa. Terrific fruity nose, some complexity to the mouthfeel. Only knock is the feeble head.

Heavy Hands has a thick, creamy, off-white head and an opaque, milk white-yellow appearance, with heavy lacing. The aroma is of odd, smoky white wheat. The flavor is of citrus, white wheat, sugar sweetness, and almost no bitterness notes. Heavy hands has a medium body and a mostly-dry finish.

Had this beer on tap poured into a shaker pint. Hazy brownish yellow color with excellent head and lacing. Strong, pleasant smell and taste of grapefruit and pineapple. Oranges, peaches, tangerine and some raspberries. A bit of vanilla too. Nice smooth feel. Pleasant surprise to find it on tap nearby.

From a can produced 11/1/21. Hazy pale orange with a half inch of white foamy head. Smells of citrus. Medium body and slightly creamy feel. Dank pine resin and grapefruit with an earthy base. Very nice

Packs a punch. Bitter + strong + sharp finish - pine-like - sharper than hemp. Alcohol is strong component of taste

Grabbed this thinking it’d be a new dipa to try but turns out this seems like one of those hazy ones which I’m not the biggest fan of (st least based on the pour). But I’ll tell you if you like IPAs and DIPAs and feel like drinking a juicy and dank grapefruity beer with plenty of malts to hold it up, this one’s your token.

Pours a super hazy, milky, pale yellow with a thin off-white head. Could smell the hops as soon as I popped the can open, lot's of fruity aromas, mango, citrus, papaya. Taste very much follows the nose, great amount of hops, little bit of malts on the tail-end. Full-bodied, starts almost velvety on the tongue, then finishes crisp with a hops bite; warming as well. Very well done DIPA.

can dated 01/11/21. today is 02/27/21

pours a mellow-near-milky looking lemon flesh yellow body with a small chalk white frothy foam head that has moderately high retention and leaves a lot of thick sticky lacing as it settles to a rocky halo

aroma is dank, lush, and sweet tropical and earthy hop.

taste is lemony with dripping mango and pineapple and a thick chewy malt backbone.

feel is moderately low but pillowy carbonation and thick body that goes slightly smooth with the occasional prickle, and comes across as quite chewy. the finish is nice and dry and there is a thick dank layer of hop bitterness left as an aftertaste

overall:
certainly hoppy, certainly well done. a must for hop lovers

Received on tap. Wonderful yellow, gold color with thick, cloudy haze. Nose is a hop bomb, rich and robust. Flavor matched the smell with amazing hoppiness, a full flavored IPA. It was very similar to my favorite IPA called Ghost in the Machine. Absolutely recommend this IPA to those who love a hop explosion.

Pours a more yellowish orange with a thin white head that leaves no lacing. Smells very strongly of citrus with mango, papaya and pineapple mixing with some earthy/dank hops. Up front the citrus kicks in with a nice malt and finishes with the aforementioned tropical fruits. From there, it transitions with a nice dank hop bite at the end and some lingering citrus. Very smooth, with some lingering hops on the tongue. Goes down great with low carbonation. This is a thick NEIPA with some chewiness.

Overall, my favorite of the style from Spindletap and one I'm likely to revisit as one of the better NEIPAs in Texas.

Poured from a can into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours super hazed yellow-orange color with almost no head. The tiny amount of fizzy foam on the top of the brew fades fast leaving almost no lace.

Smell – The aroma of the brew is massive of an orange juice smell with other lighter tropical fruit aromas of mango and papaya. The aroma smacks you in the face as soon as you crack the can. Along with the big fruit aromas comes a decent showing earthy hops as well as some herbal aromas. With a bit of a hay smell and some light pine, the aroma is overall sweet, dank, and very enticing

Taste – The taste begins with a bready and doughy taste that has some sweetness of caramel and orange. Upfront there is some of the herbal and earthy hop that were detected in the nose. Along with these flavors comes some tastes of a grass and yeast. As the taste initially advances the sweetness increased with more orange juice and some tropical fruit tastes coming to the tongue. At the same time the hop flavors increase with more and more dank hop tastes of herb and earth coming to the tongue. Toward the end of the flavor profile the sweetness drops off a bit all while the hop increases, leaving one with a nice dank hop taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thicker and more chewy with a carbonation level that is low. For the big dankness and the style the feel is great and makes for a nice slow sipper.

Overall – Big, dank, and delicious. A nice and robust hazy IPA!

Look: looks like a hazy pineapple orange juice
Smell: refreshing citrus hop, smell like pulp
Taste: pint citrus, some standard juicy citrus (orange) and a hint of sweet citrus (overripe pineapple), some slight malt on the backend. Juicy!
Feel: full body
Overall: really frickin good! Like houston haze but I think more full on the palate as the there is more malt filling the profile where the Houston haze doesn't seem to have that. Would love to try side by side. I think I would go with Houston haze as I tend to like juice bombs better.

I don't give any beer a five but this one comes damn close. First of all it's made by Spindletap, which doesn't make bad beer. It's incredibly hazy and full of awesome DIPA character. At 8% ABV it's perfect to drop a few and not get too sloppy. This is in the top five of all DIPA's and is a sure fire winner.
