Poured from a 1 pint 9.36 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "bottled on" date 11-11-2015.

APPEARANCE: pours an absolutely gorgeous, cloudy, straw color with two-fingers white head with a careful pour, world class retention, a half-finger of head was as low as it got, highly carbonated almost like Champagne, there is heavy lacing on the glass, does not get much better than this.

SMELL: subtle but pleasant to the nose, bread, banana and some farmhouse funk.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose and is also understated in a pleasant way, initially sweet bread and then a fruity note that finishes clean and dry.

PALATE: light, clean and dry with very high level of carbonation.

OVERALL: this is a very enjoyable beer and reasonably priced at $6.99, I would buy this again and recommend to anyone who enjoys the style, first beer from this brewer, looking forward to trying more.

A nice classic saison, well-rounded and balanced.
Hazy orange with an ample head of foam that has lasting power. Halo of lacing in the glass.
Aromas of yeast esters, dry grassy hops, and light maltiness.
Taste is nice, pleasant spicy yeast note backed with some light herbal hop bitterness, crisp clean and dry.
Not overly sweet or phenolic, which I hate in US saisons. This one is pretty classic and very drinkable.
Recommended, would pick this up again.

Bottled 11-11-2015, bought at the brewery in May 2016.

A: As is the case with all Cranes, a beautiful 750ml bottle with the origami art work. An amber/orange-ish color, which was a surprise. I'd rate this higher, but I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of a monster, frothy, sustained saison head.
S: A bit subdued for a saison. Getting a faint Belgian yeastiness.
T: Surprised at the juiciness of this. Not as dry as a lot of saisons. Quite refreshing. Peppery yeastiness is there.
F: A nice buzz after less than half the bottle consumed. A great spring/summer brew.
O: A nice Missouri saison. I've liked the other Crane specialty offerings more than this, but this is a very worthy year-round, permanent release. Love what Crane is up to over in Raytown, MO.

Poured out a cloudy, dark amber color with a small, off-white head. Good floral notes and light caramel aroma. This is a pretty tasty saison that is a little dirty ( in a good way).

Pours a light amber color with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is classic saison, with yeast, earth, malt, spice, and funky esters. Taste follows with yeast, earth, bready malt, light spice, and some fink (which comes through as my first realization of what people mean when they say barnyard/horse blanket). Mouthfeel is medium and prickly with nice carbonation. Overall, this is a good saison that hits the hallmarks of the style. Not quite on Tank 7 level for me, but darn good.

On draught at Global, Rock Hill. Poured clear amber, quickly fading white head. Earthy, yeast aroma, carried into the taste. Moderate carbonation, lingering herby bitterness. Well hidden alcohol. Good example of the style.

Pours a cloudy amber color with just under a finger of bubbly white head that disappears quickly. Smell is yeasty, malty, and with a hint of alcohol. Has a fruity flavor thats balanced well by the malt. A crisp feel with just the right amount of carbonation. Another good beer by Crane. A very drinkable saison.
