Lubec Brewing Company

Tough to rate fully, as when I visited in July 2021 the brewery was "outdoor seating only" due to the pandemic. Service was through a side door paneled over with "COVID proof" plexiglass. On the outside, the place is unassuming but well kept, it looks like an old storefront was re-purposed. The beer garden alongside the brewery is a small grassy area with wrought iron tables and chairs (though comfortable). The size seems adequate for such an out of the way place. The setting around the brewery is right out of a movie - a quaint, small seaside New England town complete with the soothing sounds of the sea. And this one is as far east in the continental USA that you can go, Canada is in plain view a few hundred yards across the strait. The only real negative (aside from the pandemic arrangement which is obviously out of the brewery's control) is that it closes at 5:00...and I got there a little after 4:30. I look forward to going back someday after the lockdown effects of the pandemic are in the past.
